SB has been fairly active but this is the first time he has taken me on (have been raising a lot)

What to do?

He's offering you 3-1+ (12,000 to win 37,000 odd) to call the reraise, screams out that he wants the call really

If he's got a set though he has to be pretty sure you'll bet to check that board

His range of hands could be KJ, Jx against an aggressive opponent, you, who he knows will C bet with zilch, any two pair , the middle and bottom sets

With the back door nut flush I'd be tempted to call the 12,000 see the turn and if you don't improve/hit a heart to possibly improve, check and reassess given foe's bet

I'd agree with tighty there. I'd flat call this (the boy could also have flopped the straight and wants out the flush draw) if you don't improve you fold on his turn bet. he wouldn't be taking you on if he didn't have anything.

Am I the only one that thinks this is a straightforward Fold ? Opponent is the big stack in the small blinds - there was no action until him so if he has a big hand - AA for example - he has no reason to raise in the small blind. You have a stack that can do him some damage, so he isn't going to take you on with nothing.

I think he has AA, KK or QQ. 9T, 88 and 77 are also possibilities although it depends how this player would play these hands. He may be worried about the flush and want it finished there and then. I think he is going to break you in this hand if you call. In the unlikely event that TPTK is good here you are going to win a nice pot.  But, the only hands you can beat that he can conceivably check raise with are are JK, JQ or mibbe even JT. It could also be a check bluff or check-semibluff - but I seriously doubt it. Unless you have some reason to think your are ahead - Fold. It will be very expensive to find out otherwise. You are behind here most of the time. If you really want to find out where you are re-raise him back - he might just push his stack all in or fold. A slightly cheaper option is to call but you might just hit a card that makes it very difficult for you to get away from your hand (an ace or a jack) and put you in a lot of trouble if your opponent has the nut straight. You will also not be 100% sure where you stand. If you re-raise though then it makes things simple - you are either folding to the all-in, take the pot or push it all in on the turn regardless of what comes if he just calls your re-raise.

Another factor was he put the clock on me quite quickly and said it in a fairly hostile way, generally what do you think putting the clock on fairly quickly might mean?

hmmm i don't like that at all...call the lot out of em.unless you know it's an act it would suggest to me he's scared...maybe even stick him all in and say "there's your feckin clock for ya"

might be bad play but i don't like people calling the clock on me very quickly as I take it they are either rude or have nothing.

Unless he's a good "reverse teller" I normally take that to mean weakness and a sign via pressure he wants you to fold

with A J you either
a)  want to take the blinds unopposed   or
b) hit the flop

what better flop do you want ?
the sb knows that the majority of the time you will miss the flop , so a check raise here could be made with a multitude of hands especially as you say you have been raising a lot.(i assume you have been making continuation bets)
i repop it here , as i suspect he has called your raise with K 10 hearts , Q 10 hearts or K J

I think fold, he either has a good (i.e. better) hand or he will have a decent draw, not good spot to be in imo.

I agree, you still have plenty of chips after this hand to wait for a spot you are more comfortable with.

Let me get this right, if I am playing you and I want you to call all I have to do is call the clock on you ?

No wonder Tony G uses this tactic a lot to get his opponents to pay him.
