blonde poker forum

What's going on. Just turned on Poker night live on channel 843 and they were showing the Blonde bash. The tape stopped and the Poker Night live show started with Tikay. Conspiracy theories anyone? Or have I missed something here.
I have wondered for a while whether the poker425 show could end up on channel 843 and I would expect more viewers.
Anyone know what it's all about?

I caught the same thing - just the last few minutes of the 425 bB3 footage and was totally disorientated for a moment or two. The footage I briefly saw started with the 425 competition results and it didn't look like a trailer, especially the way the whole thing came to a sudden end. Tonight is the night for the new Poker 425 show, isn't it? So it wasn't promoting a repeat of last weeks Poker 425 show at the usual repeat time. But twas good to see Poker 425 get a brief airing on Pokerzone. 

I wouldn't like to lose the opportunity of seeing Poker 425 repeats however, as I don't get to see it on a wednesday night as, for some reason, I tune into this interesting gent on Wednesday PNLs. Enjoy hearing his advice, banter and the emails which are sent in from an interesting sounding bunch of folk.    ;D

Iron - it was something along the lines of "thanks to the excellent advice tikay gave me last week I won a MTT yesterday - 500 and odd runners"

surely thats a mistake anyone following tikays advice surely cant win a thing even tikay cant

yep - twas about taking time in decision-making - stop rushing into a decision - literally sit on hands for a moment - Ed went on to win an MTT with 543 runners following Tikay's advice.

I don't believe for a minute he followed Tikay's advice - just needed a reason to get his chirp read out!!!!  ;goodvevil;

ahhh,  that is Michelle.   I have wondered if it is her when tikay has mentioned her in the past.  I agree with tikay, she is very nice  ;)

It's actully a true story, the "sitting on your hands" story.

Young Chili blitzed the field at Gutshot a few weeks back, but busted out 5th.

Her exit hand was two pair over two pair. Most felt, at the time, she was unlucky.

But the clue to the mistake was the way the chips went in. R, RR, RRR, call, bish bash bosh, 500,000 chips were in the middle in the blink of an eye, who can get their chips in quickest sorta thing.

She was not unlucky. Running through the play of the hand later, after the disappointment had diluted, it was obvious.

There were SO MANY bits of information out there to suggest she was losing. Really. Some were normal betting "tells", others were far more easy to read, nothing to do with the hand itself, rather a much wider analysis of Chili & Matey Boy in that hand at that time. And the conclusion we reached was that if he had thought about it properly, she would have realised she was way behind.

So the "lesson" was, hey, THINK about what you are doing, especially on major decisions. Take your time if you have to. If she had, she would not have got all her chips in. She will be a better player for that lesson, & has improved her game since then by leaps & bounds because of that. And no, I don't give her, or anyone else for that matter, hand advice, (how could I?) but I do try & get people to recognize their weaknesses. Unless you do, improvement never comes. So she was surrounded by everyone saying "well done" & the reality was it was not well done at all, it was a mistake. I'm pleased to say she recognized that very quickly. It's so easy to see fault in other people's games, I just can sort my game out! And I KNOW my weaknesses!

So she's sorted it now - she sits on her hands for 25 seconds, then she can't rush the decision. El blondie has a similar routine, sips some water, thinks, more water, then ACT.

now as to the ask the beginner question
