Title: Football discussions – Guidelines.
Post by: Rod Paradise on September 22, 2006, 09:46:24 AM

Right folks, recently football discussions have had a tendency to get out of order and very much away from the blonde way. As a football fanatic myself I understand how easy it is to get angry over other’s views and how entrenched fans are in their own views, but we need to bear in mind that this is blonde Poker, not the BBC Football forums.

My local in Glasgow is a mixed pub, with Celtic, Rangers, and a Partick Thistle fan drinking in it & the banter and abuse can be fierce at times, BUT if non-regulars are in things are calmed down a bit as we don’t know how they will react. We also know that when push comes to shove the locals will defend other locals no matter which team they support. I hope that we can start to look at this section of Blonde in a similar way, keeping the slagging toned down a bit as we don’t know who is in, and how offended they are going to be by it. Also if there is someone on fishing for a bite – PLEASE do not encourage them.

Some blondeites are unhappy with the problems caused by football posts and they have a point. This weekend we have the first Old Firm game of the year and we can do ourselves some good by keeping the head & not dishing out rubdowns and insults while feelings are still running high.

You're not helping either :)

Actually you are as was bandit -  a friendly slagging's fine, if no-one replies to the stirrers or the people acting out of character when drunk and wound up - we're sorted.
