Title: Slightly out of the ordinary hand!! Post by: mjrevie on September 22, 2006, 12:24:09 PM A hand happened last night at our home game and just wanted to see what people's thoughts are on it.
For argument sake, everyone has pretty much the same amount of chips, say 5000. Blinds are 50-100, first level. One limper, button folds and i make up the blind. I have 9c 2c and the flop comes down Jh 2h 2s. I bet out 400 but as soon as I bet out one of the players claims he didnt put his blind in because the button acted out of turn and that he wanted to play. We decided to let him play. What is the correct rule and what would you have done here? Re-Deal or just carry on? We discussed whether or not to re-deal but decided in the end to carry on. Because of the talking, everyone knew i had a 2. BB folded, limper folded but the player who came in after seeing the flop called my 400 bet. At this point i put him on a flush draw and was just hoping he would miss it. Turn was Ad and so i bet out again, this time 800. He automatically re-raises all in. Call or fold? Call or fold? player is out IMO. he can not not call preflop (you had time to make up the blind and everything) and then say "Oh flop is down but i wasn't paying attention so I'd like to play now I like the flop" I haven't even looked at the hand but if you put him on the FD it's a fold. Re-Deal or just carry on? You should carry on.... WITHOUT him, he has effectivly mucked and is out of the hand. DOH :blonde: I saw the wrong ace there. ofcourse it's all in as there's no flush on the board. Why do you fold if you put him on a FD? When he called on the flop i put him on a FD. Once he goes all in on the turn, do i put him on A2 or maybe a pair of JJ's? The fact that he knows my hand, I know he knows my hand, is it possible he was bluffing me knowing that i know that? I might be confused. I never said i folded. Post by: BigTomatoes on September 22, 2006, 07:58:39 PM id say he has AJ , if your unlucky and he has J2 / A2 then so be it , you might be chopping the pot if he has a small kicker and a 2 , I definitely call here and if he had you beat on the flop with a hand like J2 then he was obviously at it imo. anyway what did he have ? |
