Title: An Intriguing Contest?
Post by: TheGreenOne on September 22, 2006, 03:14:57 PM
As many say Heads Up is the ultimate test of playing the player and not the cards... who's gonna win this battle?

Do one of the poker mags not keep challenging Derren Brown & he keeps declining? I suppose his abilities would be less among people used to bluff & read?

Ahhh, I wasn't aware of that... any idea why he declines?

PokerPlayer when it started did but I don't think they actually asked him except in the mag. I thought he said that he would give them a game one day.

derrin brown didn't know about the challenge. when he found out he politely declined saying he was crap and there was less over lap between his skills and that of a good poker player.

That said, I'm sure if he put his mind to it he's be a phenominal player

I think if he put his opponents' minds to it he'd be even better.

They would probably insist on playing the match chained inside a secure box suspended over the river thames, the winner having to escape and reappear on the ground with Debbie Magee
