Title: Funny sport chants Post by: ItsMrAlex2u on September 23, 2006, 11:35:15 AM A load of us went to the recent voided test match at the oval, and were sat with the barmy army, after all day on the ale the singing hit top form late on. This song came out, and perhaps slightly influenced by lager had me in tears laughing.
My previous favourite crowd chant was at the England v Switzerland match in euro 2004 when an england fan yelled at the swiss "You can stick yer toblerone up yer @rse" This is now my new favourite: I like pork, I like pork, i like pork on the end of my fork I like cheese, I like cheese, I like cheese cause it makes me sneeze I like ham, I like ham, I ike ham and so does my mam I like chicken, I like chicken I like chicken cause its finger lickin I like duck, I like duck, I like duck cause it makes me... .... HAPPY Half way through hearing it I was in alcohol induced hysterics wondering where it was going. Brilliant Title: Re: Funny sport chants Post by: TheGreenOne on September 23, 2006, 12:07:46 PM I used to be a season ticket holder at Gillingham (they're a footy team in League 1 btw! rotflmfao) and they used to have a chant that would crack me up week in week out.
N.B. you have to drag out the first 'celery' in the song lol...... a bit like ceeeeleryyyyy Anyway, this was it: "Celery, Ceeeeelery, if she don't cum i'll tickle her bum with a lump of celery" and then you repeat it about a million times rotflmfao Title: Re: Funny sport chants Post by: ItsMrAlex2u on September 23, 2006, 12:11:35 PM where do these things come from thats what i want to know !!! who sits down and makes them up???
Genious or completely insane, not sure which Title: Re: Funny sport chants Post by: TheGreenOne on September 23, 2006, 12:13:08 PM hmmmmm, good point. I've often wondered the same thing! lol

Such a great atmosphere... i've recently moved back to the area so will be back down there soon. They have another chant in the stand called 'The Rainham End' First of all the, the first third of The Rainham End stand up and sing "We arrrrrrrrrre the Left Side Rainham End, We arrrrrrrre the Left Side We arrrrrrre the Left Side We arrrrrrrre the Left Side Rainham End" and then the third third sing "We arrrrrre the Right Side Rainham End, We arrrrrrrre the Right Side We arrrrrre the Right Side We arrrrrrre the Right Side Rainham End" can you guess where i'm going with this?......... then the middle third stand and sing "We arrrrrrrrre the Middle Rainham End, We arrrrrrrre the Middle We arrrrrrrrre the Middle We arrrrrrrrre the Middle Rainham End" I appreciate it may not look that great in words,... but the sound of it and the sheer repeitivness for a constant 10/15 mins is classic Title: Re: Funny sport chants Post by: GlasgowBandit on September 24, 2006, 12:31:57 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKZUEwYtMwc

Title: Re: Funny sport chants Post by: NoflopsHomer on September 24, 2006, 12:41:38 PM Newcastle fans at the Cheltenham FA cup match last year, the fast food van man ran past the away stand with a giant sign saying "all food now half price". Instantly the geordies started singing, "Sell all your burgers, You couldn't sell all your burgers..."

Title: Re: Funny sport chants Post by: Sheriff Fatman on September 25, 2006, 12:14:33 AM One that made me laugh was during a game vs Sheff Wed a few years ago when Kevin Pressman was serenaded with "He's never seen a salad in his life."
Funniest one heard by opposition fans was Man City supporters singing "I'd rather be in Barnsley than Barbados" in reference to their absent chairman a few years ago. Sheriff Title: Re: Funny sport chants Post by: ACE2M on September 25, 2006, 10:18:50 AM Not that funny in itself but for sheer persistence it cracked me up, at the cricket v australia a group of about 20 english fans sometimes helped by the barmy army relentlessly droaned daammmmiiieeeennn to damien martyn when he fielded on the boundary. They kept it up 6 hours and there was a huge cheer when he pulled his face as ponting took away his every other over rest bite by sending him back to the to the same spot when they changed bowlers.
Title: Re: Funny sport chants Post by: Rod Paradise on September 25, 2006, 10:38:35 AM The Aberdeen fans had the whole Celtic support laughing a couple of seasons back - they were going through a bad run and for some reason decided to party at Celtic Park - including guys in fancy dress. One guy dressed as a chicken managed to get lifted by the police, which led to the Celtic support asking "Where's your chicken gone?". When Celtic went 5-0 up the Aberdeen Support all started singing "we're going to win 6-5", which became "We're going to win 7-6", then 8-7 in the last few minutes. The Celtic support actually applauded them.
