TBH, I think the Bond theme has lost what made it special but it's been like this for a while now. Bond films were always fantastic adventures in a different class to other action movies out at the time. They don't stand out for me anymore and Bond has almost lost his identity.
Saying that, they are still great action films but have to be treated as individual films to me now rather than part of the ongoing fight to save the world from grasps of evil.
