Yep, The Liverpool Challenge -- Leo Casino, Liverpool (27th - Oct 1st).

Haven't had chance to speak to them yet but will try again tonight.

All 2 day main events should be an hour, there in absolutely no reason why not.

Just spoken to Cliff the Cardroom Manger and he's given me the following details:

Friday £250 + £25 Freezeout (100 max)

40 minute clock  7,000 Starting Chips

Blinds

50/100
100/200
200/400
300/600
400/800
600/1200
800/1600
1k/2k
1.5k/3k
2k/4k
3k/6k
5k/10k

Already 32 registered.

Saturday £500 + £30 DC Freezeout (100 max)

1 Hour Clock   10,000 Starting Chips

Blinds start at 100/200
200/400
300/600
400/800
600/1200
800/1600
1k/2k
1.5k/3k
2k/4k
3k/6k
5k/10k

Already 63 registered. He says they've recently been taken over by the Gala Group so you can register at your local Gala. There's a super sat running too so I guess this will likely sell out.

Blind structure could certainly be better for 2 day events but might give Liverpool a visit.

Blinds start at 100/200? Why, FFS?

I would never play an event like this on principle

So that would mean that you actually get more chips in the £250 as that has a 50/100 level.

Very strange indeed.  :tikay:

Yes it's bizarre. When I asked why they said it's because you get 10k chips instead of 7k LOL!

Not for players like me who don't have your talent. We have to fnd the best possible structures before we invest some of our limited bankroll.

I hope you enjoy it though.

i set off ,but turned back ,when in spoke to the card room manager cliff , he wasnt bothered what people thought ov the structure .
his exact words were i have not got the time to talk to you ,like it or lump it .
so i guess i wont be playing leos in future.

Sounds like Huddersfield Casino...they do not listen to what the players want either. They sent out fliers this week to advertise the so called new games and also that they will now allow STT on tourny nights...alas ...one stt at a time and you have to wait ages for that 1 game.  They will not let you self deal as they say it is against the rules. It amazes me that it is the only card room in the area with a massive student residence and the facilities to make it a decent room, but yet they are so NOT customer focused.

What a shame.  Some players do enjoy a fast structure, though.

I met two Leo's regulars in Paris earlier this year.  Nice guys.

I tried to sign up for a tourney in Brighton yesterday and went to the card room, "sorry you need to go to the cashier", went to the cashier and they said "sorry you need to go to the card room".
 ;frustrated;
