I admit she did make me pay attention slightly more than it deserved  :D.  She is very nice, but the film was terrible .

I don't believe in GOD, but if there is a GOD out there somewhere,  he put the idea for Back To The Future in the mind of the writer of the original book.  It is simply the greatest film in the World.  Fantastic.  Back to the Future 2 is also excellent. Back to the Future 3 is great as well.   We need a Back to the Future  4,5,6,7,8,9 and on.

I hated that film.  A relative bought it for a birthday gift one year,  I had already seen it and hated it before.  It sat unopened before eventually being sent to the PDSA a couple of months later

Mad Max is another crap movie.  Why do these films always have a bunch of weirdos driving round in cars build from the remains of other cars which run on some kind of fuel other than petrol.  We can't even find a suitable fuel instead of petrol, what chance do a bunch of Hillbillies have after the World has ended?  :D

Any film where there is only one City left and it is a prison is crap.  If you then put gangs of nutters all jive talking into the script as well,  then you have a p... movie in my view

The fuel comes from the few reserves that the earth had left, In mad max 2 there was a group of people with an oil pump and they would refine the crude themselves.

As for escape from New York, that was a great cult film.

Futuristic films are there to stimulate our minds to the possibilities that the future may hold, not to portray what the future will actually be like. They are primarily for our entertainment. I suggest you watch films about the past or present if you don't like films about the future.

Minority Report is terrible  ;scarymoment;    (  I saw it got 4/5 in a recent online review.  I wouldn't even give it 1/5 )

I'd say it did the book justice, It was a decent movie in my opinion, My only problem was the non stop advertising, it was like watching a modern bond movie.

It could be argued that any film which doesn't feature a) light sabres or b) teleport beams isn't worth watching. Does Ken Loach ever wonder why his films never make any money? :)

Minority Report is actually very, very good, right up until the last fifteen minutes, when Steven Spielberg smears it with the worst ending in any film, ever.

Not really a film, but a five year series which is well worth watching.... Babylon 5.

Plus they did about 5 or 6 feature length films, some worth watching, others weren't too great.

I saw a good film tonight and it sort of had futuristic bits in it.  It was called  The Jacket with Keira Knightley and Adrian Broadie.  Very good film .  It started off a bit crap and it was purely due to the fact Keira Knightley was in it that I kept  watching  ;) .  Broadie is a top class actor as well

The original Robocop was an absolute monster. Shame it didnt end there.

The 5th Element.   It was heading for a 5/10 until the jive talking DJ started mincing about ( Chris Rock? ) .  I hate jive talking actors. The alien opera singer didn't help the score either.  It is the break right now, but I think the final score will be 2/10.  The two points are raised purely because Milla Jovovich is in it and she is very attractive  :D

Nope, I gave up with it.  The jive talker was killing my brain and I wanted to shoot him.  I am not a violent person, but he made me want to shoot him  :D .  Another example of a terrible futuristic movie

i thought the jive talking was funny. its an over the top film and highly amusing. a little like startrek in parts
