Title: Major computer help . . .
Post by: Nakor on September 30, 2006, 07:47:36 PM
Bought my Mum a old PC (Windows xp) all fine on dial up.

When trying to install broadband I insert disk I get the following message

'The Ordinal 1334 could not be located in the dynamic link library IML.32.dll'

When I OK that pop up message I get. .

'this application cannot start as it cannot create needed files.  There may not be enough free disk space'.

I have used my 'Friend' Google but no success - internet protocol might need reseting ?

HELP . . . . .

Have you got enough free disk space?

It also seems the DLL file is to do with macromedia* shockwave player so might be worth grabbing the latest version from them

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi

*well adobe bought them.

9 gig of space on C drive.

Not much on PC so all good in space department I am guessing.

File downloaded - still no good any further suggestions ?

Will connect plugging my cable connection straight in tower, but trying to install new broadband software no good.

Found this as as a possible solution for your error message Nakor:-

"To solve the issue, try downloading the shockwave uninstaller, and run it to remove shockwave from your computer. Then, search for the IML32.dll file, delete it, and reinstall shockwave.
The cause of this problem is that you have multiple IML32.ddl installed for some reason during the process of installing shockwave from Macromedia."

Hope it helps

Not very often I sit chuckling to myself but that one tickled me Tom. Very strange the simplist things seem to amuse me nowadays.

You are struggling for space there believe it or not. With all the other crap you have to install you really need 10Gb.

Turn off system restore and shrink the amount of space your recycle bin uses, then you should be ok.
