i pick up most of my chips in a comp winning small pots i lose most of my chips in comps with the best hand getting drawn out on if i pick up enough small pots it makes up for the big pots i lose Title: Re: I played this badly, what should I have done:? basically your looking for the board to pair or for a 6 or lower for both turn and river even if the board pairs you only have the 2nd nuts i've lost count of how many times i have top boat and my oppo has quads so you want to get you money in while your ahead if you let them catch up you are faced with folding the hand or calling while behind Title: Re: I played this badly, what should I have done:? Anyway, the question might be not how you have played this hand badly, but how you play other hands badly. From what I have observed (and admittedly this is more for cash games), the point of Omaha is to always bet/raise the maximum at every possible opportunity. In order for this to be profitable, you must be able to read other players better than they can read you, and know when to fire again and when to bail. Once you have established yourself as the table idiot, you are more likely to get paid in this hand by someone with, say, 789T. Anyway, I agree with Ironside, in that although this is a great flop for you, there are many cards that you really don't want to see on the turn, especially if it gets checked round. You are dog to the guy with 9dJcQdKc (PS. Last weekend, I got stacked THREE times in two hours with nut full house vs quads!) Title: Re: I played this badly, what should I have done:?
