Title: Would You Call ?
Post by: Mbuna on October 11, 2006, 07:39:50 PM
some have said that having the odds to call does not always make it right.

Would love some feedback on this hand.

why do you commit over 1/3rd of your stack to this hand on the flop? Are you trying to take the pot down ? It has 60 chips in it !! given the strenght of your draw and your live ace you have to call but this is a very badly played hand imho.

Dave,  What do stakes have to do with the correct play?

What Jezza says.  I am happy to call the 60 and see if I hit.  If he has an overpair then the chances are he will try milking you for your chips.  unless he thinks you have made the sraight.  There is no need to rr the guy, play it out see if you hit and if you don't you still have more chips than you have by playing it the way you do.

I reraise all day, i love these situations. On the flop make a small reraise (to 150 say) so that if he reraises you, you can shove your stack in. It looks stong and if he calls you still have outs.
