Title: My car is booked in for it's annual MOT tomorrow
Post by: Karabiner on October 12, 2006, 01:49:39 PM
And I've just realised that it's Friday the 13th.  ;hide;

I really thought about phoning up and changing it to next week, but that would be silly wouldn't it ?

Or would it..........

I don't think they would change Friday the 13th to next week even if you ask them!

co incidentally, so is mine, but the date never occurred to me!

A friend of mine is out in Spain at the moment.  He is flying back tomorrow because the prices for flying back today apparently went down to about a third of the cost every day around about.  Crazy!

You should only be concerned if the mechanic's name is Jason.

£70?  that's tempting.  We've been quoted an estimated price of nearly £500 for MOT, major service and replacement cam belt, plus we've had to get a replacement spare tyre.  And it's only a few weeks since getting all the brakes replaced cost us the best part of £600.  boo.

I got quoted > £800 to get my car through it's MOT.

It ended up costing £80, and that was to fix a part that was broken whilst they tried to figure out why it had failed.  ::)

It got through okay with just minor tweaking to the emmissions and h/lamp alignment.

 ;woohoo;
