Title: Re: Annual salary in 90 seconds.... Post by: AlrightJack on October 13, 2006, 02:29:24 AM Although he came second in the EPT in Barcelona for over €370k, he is rumoured to have only just broken even for the week because of he did so much in on the golf course to Marc Goodwin and Ram Vaswani. He was also spotted online, an hour after the EPT had finished, tilting off a big chunk.
In London he proved he is a sicko, putting £5k down on a roulette wheel minutes before the tournament started, losing the lot in one spin. He repeated this before day two started. I have also heard via a journo who interviewed him at his house that during the interview he was on the phone to his bookie several times, placing $100k bets randomly on whatever the next college basketball game to start was. They guy is a complete sicko. Poker genius maybe, but he has the potential to go broke if doesn't get himself sorted out. Title: Re: Annual salary in 90 seconds.... Post by: Wardonkey on October 13, 2006, 02:31:20 AM I think it's a bit more than potential.
It's inevitable. Ivey = Unger? Title: Re: Annual salary in 90 seconds.... Post by: Rookie (Rodney) on October 13, 2006, 02:35:46 AM I think it's a bit more than potential. It's inevitable. Ivey = Unger/Cloutier? He just called a pot bet on the flop and turn with a 6 high FD, and 4 unders to the board! He missed, and is losing his buyin slowly. Title: Re: Annual salary in 90 seconds.... Post by: kvnstv on October 13, 2006, 07:37:55 AM I do like to watch the full tilt pro's playing like retarded monkeys before I go to work.

Post by: kvnstv on October 13, 2006, 08:21:50 AM You know I didn't mean you matt! Your one of my favourite monkeys, But If watching the 'greatest minds' in poker shove in a years salary on a low draw does not remind you of retartded mokeys fighting over bannanas I don't know what will. Mind you they were playing limit this morning so less likely to happen, but seen it dozens of times on the PL tables.
Title: Re: Annual salary in 90 seconds.... Post by: matt674 on October 13, 2006, 09:28:42 AM I know the comment wasn't aimed at me squire it was more the choice of phrase used - if you would have used the word human instead of monkey can you imagine the reaction your statement would have gotten? I know what you were trying to say and the statement wasn't meant in a malicious way, truth is we fight over bananas regardless of any slight mental disabilities.
As for the hand in question - yes to some of us it may be a years salary but to big stake cash game players (and there are one or two who are blondeites) this is nothing compared to how much they earn, its like me or you walking into a betting shop and putting £10 on a horse. Also Ivey was sticking it all in on top two pair, as far as i can see they are playing high-only and therefore the low draw is irrelevant. Title: Re: Annual salary in 90 seconds.... Post by: kvnstv on October 13, 2006, 09:42:58 AM I formally apologise for any offence caused to mentally impaired primates who might have read my post and been offended. I in no way meant to further denigrate this already maligned section of our community I merely wished to comment on how much gamble the great and the good show in games like PL HI-LO which are often a crap shoot to begin with.

Post by: Sark79 on October 13, 2006, 10:19:02 AM Do you think players like Ivey, etc are at a disadvantage while playing NL online? Afterall there are big name online players who only play Hold'em for 12 hours a day every day of the week.

Afterall there are big name online players who only play Hold'em for 12 hours a day every day of the week. Who would you rather have playing online with your life savings? Matusow,Ivey Sagstrom or Taylor Caby? I think I would much rather the latter two than the first two. Title: Re: Annual salary in 90 seconds.... Post by: Sark79 on October 13, 2006, 10:25:46 AM Yep, that's what I mean. If they play with these big name Internet players, aren't they going to take a hit occasionally like Ivey has been doing recently
Title: Re: Annual salary in 90 seconds.... Post by: M3boy on October 13, 2006, 10:28:39 AM Im still waiting for Ivey to sit at his $1 $2 n/l table

Post by: kvnstv on October 13, 2006, 10:29:14 AM Whats even worse is there ego seems to take over as well, never a good thing at the tables. I remember seeing Taylor just pound Gus Hansen but he just kept reloading.
