Title: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: Rookie (Rodney) on October 13, 2006, 06:53:35 PM Its a $50 turbo on party. Blinds up every 5 mins. Normally dont end up playing a hand really until it turns 100/200 or even 200/400! But heres one a slight bit earlier. I have no info on the players, only that none of them are Yanks!!!!!

Now i have to say that it was an insta call from Ernie. Im just wondering what you would do here or if you would have done differently preflop. Im out till late and will post the rest then. Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: Wardonkey on October 13, 2006, 07:05:59 PM I would have pushed preflop. I'd push in now, you can't know if your ahead or not but the pot is huge and the odds are very tempting. In slower paced tourney I'd pass.
Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: CRIPPIN on October 13, 2006, 08:54:53 PM In that type of tourney:
All in pre flop but having only called you must fold to the all in. Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: thetank on October 13, 2006, 09:18:06 PM Mini-raise and 3 flat callers.
Looks like a push pre-flop to me. Nab it then n there, 1k to win. You're not hoping for much more than that with JJ Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 13, 2006, 09:27:46 PM Push preflop.
Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: SupaMonkey on October 13, 2006, 10:23:03 PM The first bloke clearly doesn't have the 6 and the second bloke knows it so he could be calling with a pp here as well as the 6. I think QQ+ reraises preflop so you should call here.
Also, i would push preflop. Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: GlasgowBandit on October 14, 2006, 09:57:54 AM yep push pre flop here as well. The last thing you want here is for someone to be limping in with A X and the flop coming A high.
Get thr money in first and give them a decision to make. Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: SupaMonkey on October 16, 2006, 06:01:41 PM Im out till late and will post the rest then. I guess the beer killed a few brain cells. Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: boldie on October 17, 2006, 10:22:40 AM I'm with everyone else. push preflop. push after the flop.
guy nr1 probably doesn't have a 6 but might have..only guy nr2 can knock you out and you could get a sizeable paydday here if he decides to call your all in reraise (which he should) Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: Rookie (Rodney) on October 17, 2006, 02:25:36 PM Sorry, completely forgot about this thread.
I new i had played it wrong preflop tbh. On the flop i just gave it up after that action. The two allin guys had 45 and 10 8. The 9 came on the turn i think. Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: LeKnave on September 14, 2009, 08:30:48 PM you gotta know when to fold em m8

Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: titaniumbean on September 14, 2009, 11:19:45 PM I dont play sngs, but a turbo and 4 people in for a min raise in front and we has one pair, jacks i'm pretty sure i'd just jam pre here.
Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: outragous76 on September 14, 2009, 11:23:00 PM Ah! Didnt get past the first page on my phone. Sorry! :-)
Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: Rookie (Rodney) on September 15, 2009, 12:01:19 AM Hmmm, i'm still not so sure, any other views with good reasoning why we should jam?

Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: ZZZZZZZROPE on September 15, 2009, 05:31:21 AM greekstein talking BS make it 300 pre to isolate seems pretty solid to me Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: GreekStein on September 15, 2009, 09:38:47 AM greekstein talking BS make it 300 pre to isolate Hmm I just feel that making it 400 will help induce a shove from pocket tens. Title: Re: SNG : That horrible hand, JJ Post by: titaniumbean on September 15, 2009, 11:18:51 AM lol didn't see the date when I replied to this.
