Title: William hill GP launch.
Post by: Cupcake on October 17, 2006, 02:26:59 AM
Well i've just returned from the rather plush 5 Cavendish square. where i was invited to a media night of poker , food and drinks. My starting table was last year's winner Phil Laak, the magician chap (sorry forgotten his name), Richard Prew (Tightend),Steve Vladar, a friend called Shelley, Dave hood, and  a few journalist's, the one's who seem to write about poker , but don't really know how to play . 8)

We also played a few fun sng's , myself ,the sexy Rowena, the ugly Marc Goodwin, Wormster, Steve V,the sexy Badgirl and last but not least the one and only Mr Tony Kendall. Who took great pride in telling me it's been 8 days without a fag !!!. Whilst standing next to a smoker puffing away on her cig and not even batting an eyelid........ ;applause;
I had a really fun night and made a nice little profit, which was a nice consolation for not being able to drink all that lovely white wine that was on offer . :'(

Brian Wilson is staying at my house on Wednesday and we are both off to cardiff the next day, where I'll be watching a few of the heats. Which should be brilliant as all 3 of the one's I'm watching will have friend's in that i can cheer on.

Hey , i might even play some of that silly card game while I'm there !!!.

He got soooooo lucky, after making the worst play in the history of worst plays.

I effectively told him my hand via my betting - in an act of friendship - but he decided to gamble for his entire comp with 4-4, when it was blatantly obvious I had AA. You know the rest. What a donkey.

Esfandiari...unfortunately not accompanied by adoring groupies.

I lasted one round...flopped a flush in the big blind with 74 suited and lost to a rivered nut flush. Still, got me to the front of the buffet queue.

I think you'll find cards with a picture on are rarely Aces. Although at your age you can be forgiven the occasional misread

i dont understand how a mug like you gets to go to these things. ive played with you and seen you play poker several times and you are the biggest fish on here. you got lucky in one comp and have lived off it for over a year now. :D :D

sounds like a good night mate, glad you had a good time. cant believe you made a profit though, that has to be a 1st.

does brian realise that you only have a 1 bed studio flat, where will he sleep? when you pick him up tell him i hope he is up for a few beers  :ironside: :cheers:. see you both on thursday
