Just won my first ever multi (even after going down to 2900 chips on the bubble when my trip jacks were beaten by trip queens :)). Only 55 or so runners and only $5 entry, but it feels good to have finally won one after a number of final tables.

It wouldn't have happened had I not learnt so much from this community, particularly in the hand analysis section, so thank you all very kindly.

lol...I was playing a sat yesterday just to pass some time (turbo sat only had 45 minutes before have I got news for you started)...still got my heart ticking when we got to the bubble and I was fairly low stacked ...man I love that.

Well, I've hardly played since, only 5 MTTs (I think) but 2 nowheres, 4th, 11th and today another win. Woohoo!

Now if only I could sort out my STT game...

i went to bellingham card room, near catford a few months ago and won my first ever live game, a £30 re-buy.

yesterday i went back there , and won a £50 freezeout.



i'm thinking i might go back there tomorrow. ha ha

Catford's too far away for me...

Should have just had my third MTT win, but had all his chips in and he hit his unlikely flush, then i scored top pair on the flop, moved all in and he'd snagged top pair with a better kicker. Dammit. Should be happy with 2nd but in fact I'm just very, very angry.

think of this story when you are angry at finishing second in a tourney.

I played the 300+20$ tourney on hollywood yesterday..We are on the bubble, I have 30k chips (above average only the villain in this story and 1 other guy have me covered) and find myself with pocket jacks on the button. someone min raises preflop and I raraise again to get the blinds off. I am only left with the one caller.

248 rainbow on the flop. I raise...he calls. Turn is another 2. I raise, he pushed all in. I call..(I know he doesn't have the 2 he wouldn't have raised with it. He turns over AJ off soot....he has 3 outs to hit (and of course he does) on the river. If I had won that hand I would have been chipleader by a long long way. I figure with the 30k I would have picked up from him I would have gotten to the final table (only top 30 got paid).

I go out on the bubble...at a cost of about 540$ (and like I said would have been able to get to the final table which gets you a few k at least)


2nd place isn't too bad..getting out done on the river whilst on the bubble is.

that's poker though and you have to deal with it once every 20 hands this guy is going to hit on the river and if you play often enough you will have this happen. the other 19 times I would have gotten paid.

..don't play while you're angry. I decided to tilt 2 5'er STT's and then have a cuppa and get back into things... shit happens..unfortunatly it can cost you a fair amount of dosh in this cruel cruel game :)

That's harsh indeed. Not much you can do when you run into a donk like that. At least the guy who beat me heads up was halfway decent. As for playing when I'm angry - I moved straight into another MTT :) Playing quite loose now, of course, but it has its benefits ... just called an re-raise all in with JJ that I'd normally have folded in an instant and ran into 99 :)

Sitting 18th of 78 remaining and fully expect to go out through a complete lack of discipline.

Cheers mate. Dizzy heights of chip leader with 58 left and a very strong table imagine. I've no doubt I'll contrive to screw it up though.

Finished 4th in the end. AT vs 99 all in pre flop, hit my T but he hit his trips. Hey ho. That's almost 8 straight hours of poker now, think that's me done for the day!

i didn't go in the end, i enterted the 20,000 , the 75,000 and a $3 rebuy aussie million qualifier.

in the 20,000 i got k/o in a about 54th pos, pocket 10's , walked into pocket jacks.
in the 75,000 i played a few bad hands and then had no choice but to go all in with Ac9c and walked into pocket 9's.
shit happens .
but in the aussie qualifier, there's 10 left , only 3 seats availible and a bit back for 4th. i'm 2nd in chips and on the small blind. blinds are 16,000 and 32,000 . first to act goes all in , i have AKo , so i call him still leaving me with about 12 grand . the cards turn over and he's got A2o , why the hell would he in first position go all in with A2o. flop helps no one , turn is an Ace, river is a 2.
