OK, tonight at 8pm there is an Invitation Only Pro-Am Freeroll jobbie thing on Sporting Odds.com.

There are some very interesting names playing this evening - winner gets a seat to the Main Event at the November Fessie at Grosvenor Walsall.

30 runners in all, 18 of which are Online Qualifiers or the like. (The comp is in the "FREEROLL" section of the Lobby on Sporting Odds.com, take a look if you have time). But there are some invitees, & included in the field I have helped to assemble are.....

All-in on a K-9-T board between 7poker7 and Chili, they have J-7o and 8-7o turn and river come 5 and K, letting 7poker7's Jack-high win the pot. Maria on about 900.

the mole doubles up thru real deal. A-9-9 flop, read deal had A-K, mole had 9-9!

Lucy has taken a huge stack of internet qualifier ssburti's chips. And is the new chip leader.

Luke Patten has gone. K-K vs 5-5 on a 8-5-7 board. No K came.

Suffolk Punch Simon Young takes out Lawrence Gosney, A-A vs Q-Q.

Hobo there doubles through X4600 (who had taken out Luke Patten) with K-K vs Q-Q.

Chilli doubles through with A-T vs 3-3. T on the flop.

Tikay gone to QUADS. He re-raised all-in against Lucy with J-J and Lucy called with Q-Q. Q and a J on the flop and another Q on the river. Busting out in style!

Lucy takes out another short stack with 8-8  vs 7-7.

Foxy gone, blinded out then A-9 vs K-K. Did last longer than Tikay though!

He never ran his House into Quads though......

Lucy busts someone else, errr 9-3 vs K-J

Jen and Maria both go at virtually the same time. Jen had 8-9 vs J-T after losing most of her chips with K-T vs K-J. Maria had 3-3 against Q-J which hit a straight.

Unlucky ladies. :(

T'internet qualifier goes when his straight flush draw misses against pocket queens.

You lose it all however you play there. Unlucky tikay. :(

ssburti has cracked A-A with K-6 and then had his trip Q's paid off to become chip leader.

Suffolk Punch gets lucky to spike a Ten against A-K with A-T and bust a qualifier.

And now his A4 cracks Lucy's AQ with a 2nd 4 on the turn.

Fishy Simon now cracks A-J with A-9 and we lose another t'internet qualifier.

Lucy knocks out an internet qualifier with 9h Th against Aspades 5c.

Lucy, John Shipley, Simon "Suffolk Punch" Young and two internet qualifiers remain.

Simon Young makes a great call to a re-raise all-in with A-T his opponent has K-3, but the board comes 3-7-7-7-T. Zoiks.

Simon takes out ssburti, who had played very well. 9-9 vs Q-J

Lucy takes out the last remaining internet qualifier with K-J vs 3-3 on a 2-5-K-K-5 board.

Lucy raises from the Button, Simon pushes, she calls. Lucy's A-9 holds up vs A-7. HU with a monster chip lead.

It's over after John pushes against Lucy's re-raise. A-8 for John but Lucy's pocket Kings hold to take the seat!

No, they were not supposed to be "random blondes".

The decision to pick those two was made by Sporting Odds, though I'm bound to say I was delighted for both the Ladies. As it was Sporting Odds comp & money, they have the right to invite whomsoever they so desire. I believe that when we do the next Sporting Odds Invitational, (for which I currently take the responsibility for organising) blonde may well be given several seats. Floppy will be given one if we are, as he was kind enough to run a little Update tonight for us. What goes round comes round. As to the "names", these were selected by me - thats what they asked me to do, & I did it as best I could.

It was a lovely little comp as it turned out, & great to see Lucy win it, from John Shipley. Sporting Odds will be well represented at Walsall next month, they have 4 or 5 Qualifiers, plus Lucy, so a big day for them.
