Title: Gone In 60 Seconds
Post by: snoopy1239 on October 22, 2006, 06:08:53 AM
These two hands occurred simultaneously at different tables. My theory is that if I can resist tilt after that, I can conquer the world.

Yes, I confess, this is not one, but two bad beat stories, but you can have your £1 for the tin, I really don't care, a quid isn't that much when you've just dropped 3 or 4 monkeys (no, not actual monkeys!).

Although they are mere whines, I would appreciate some feedback. Could I have escaped from either, or both, of them. Part of me reckons I could have but I'm not 100%.

1st one u flop a huge draw and are just unlucky to be against one of the 3 hands that could have u drawing dead by the turn.

2nd on, get that mug on the buddylist and take him for all he;s worth

Sorry am i missing here something?

I thought bad beat is when you are favourite to win the hand not when you don't hit your outs?

1st one is standard unlucky.

2nd i like 3 betting more here make it 3 time the re raise, pot is big enough to take down and i think your 3-bet is giving the other two odds preflop, your giving them 2 to 1 and 3 to 1 respectively. As Pab says get this muppet on your buddy list he is going to do his money somewhere might as well be you.

If you flop an open ended straight and flush draw, would you fold?

nope

tantrum put it into twodimes and came up with the wrong result

with a flop like that you are only a dog v a set and even then you are not always that big a dog

its a must ALL In hand

Open-ended straight flush draw:

    * Against top pair - about a 63-37 favourite

    * Against an overpair - about a 56-44 favourite

    * Against two pairs - about a 53-47 favourite

    * Against a higher flush draw - 44-56 underdog

    * Against a set - about a 42-58 underdog

The range of hands you could be up against, I'm always happy to push on the flop - even if it means coming up against a set or higher flush draw occasionally.
