Title: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: Trace on October 24, 2006, 05:58:40 PM My mum and my dad are pestering me to let them know what I want for Xmas.
They are divorced btw so it is separate questions. Now my Dad aint short of a bob or two, so I can probably guess on a couple of hundred quid off him, complete opposite from my mother, prob £20 from her. Problem is I have absolutely NO IDEA what I want. Soooo suggestions please, mainly from the girlies, but if any of you boys have any (clean) ideas I'd be grateful. And should Kev read this......... NO to PVC!!!!! Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: madasahatstand on October 24, 2006, 06:15:43 PM what about a spa day from your dad and a manicure or massage from your mum?
Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: Colchester Kev on October 24, 2006, 06:18:47 PM what about asking them to make a donation to charity in your name.
Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: Poppet7 on October 24, 2006, 06:25:03 PM Oh I hate not knowing what I want. How about something like an iPod if you don't already have one? From your Mum how about a nice handbag or some perfume?
Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: roverthtaeh on October 24, 2006, 06:35:21 PM From Dad, a luxury food hamper.
From Mum, a nice bottle of wine. From noon on Christmas day, indulge yourself. Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: Trace on October 24, 2006, 06:44:28 PM £20 would get you a hellova lot of batteries PMFSL Trust you!! Ok, Im thinking jimjams off me mother. A spa day is a good idea, but I would prefer something that is functional. Past gifts have included Car Stereo, SatNav, DVD player, Digi Camera etc. etc. etc. (Not all in same year btw) An iPod is something I was contemplating, but I dont think I'd use one that much. As far as charity doantions go, I help P4C as and when I can, and I have a regular activity I do for them. I dont donate to any other charity in any other way. Girls - feel free to use this thread as a subtle hint to your other halves by all means, you never know we may all get something we want through it! lol Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: londonpokergirl on October 24, 2006, 06:44:43 PM lol I could do with the same
How about a shopping trip for shoes, you can never have enough pairs of em a Spa weekend Weekend away no kids Perfume or just ask for gift vouchers for m&s/harvey nicks :) Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: Colchester Kev on October 24, 2006, 06:46:43 PM Ask them to lump the money into your blonde account, that will be the same as a charity donation :) :) :)
Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: ariston on October 24, 2006, 06:48:18 PM put the money together and get a manwhore maybe? no need for batteries then :)up
Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: Poppet7 on October 24, 2006, 06:48:39 PM Camcorder? I got one of these off of my Dad 2 years ago. I'm really in to taking photos (if you hadn't already guessed!) and making films using my camcorder because it's like keeping your memories.
and you could always use it to make 'special' home movies ;) lol Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Spa weekend would be lovely, but dog's meds are too complicated to expect anyone else to do them. Gawd this is hard work. I'd ask for the money, but as my Mum said the other day, I'd only pay a bill with it. lol Anyone know how much multi CD changers are ? ? ? I quite fancy one of those for my car!! The tomboy in me always seems to come out at Xmas and Birthdays. lol Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: Trace on October 24, 2006, 06:50:38 PM Camcorder? PSSSTTTT and when I did use that for a special movie, my ex-hubby got his hands on it!! URGH lmfao now but wasn't at the time.... No more special movies starring yours truly EVER again.. Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: Poppet7 on October 24, 2006, 06:57:51 PM What I usually do if I want some new technology is look on website like pc world/currys/comet etc and see what the new crazes are.
Smaller presents just have a look around the shops for something you might like? Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls! Post by: Claw75 on October 24, 2006, 07:04:21 PM vouchers are a good idea. I usually ask my mum to get me gift vouchers, then get myself new clothes in the January sales.

Check out your local gyms cos they all vary. I joined a gym a few months back and the options then were £55 a month (everything unlimited) or £110 for the year (still have to pay for everything) Title: Re: OT: A question for the girls!
