Title: Breeders cup..and telly help? RAcing world and RUK. Post by: boldie on October 26, 2006, 04:08:31 PM OK the Breeders cup is coming up next weekend (4th of november) and, as I'm not travelling to the states for it this year I am forced to watch it at home. HOWEVER, I don't have sky installed in the new house yet and although Racing world and Racing UK are reportedly showing it free of charge I was wondering whether that would only be on sky...or is it worth getting a freeview/sky freeview box for it?
it is afterall what Cheltenham is for jumps racing....God I love the breeders cup. BTW...I am laying George Washington for the Classic. He won't handle the dirt and the only reason they are sending him to tyhis is because they have nothing to lose (he will retire to stud in Europe so it won't matter if he doesn't handle Dirt) Bernadini will hack up in this race. The few times i remember watching it it was - but that may have been a few years back when i followed horse racing. Since the discovery of poker i've not touched it with a monkey barge pole. (Racing post doesn't mention it anyways). [/quote] I totally agree, George Washington is the LAY of the century, first time over 10f on dirt, no chance. As a general rule in breeders cup I look to oppose european trainned horses on the dirt races and back then on the turf races (especially fench trainned in the mile). Some great trends for the breeders cup but will wait for final decs before getting on. Can't wait, should be a great evening, hope you get he viewing issues sorted. |
