Elsewhere Red called an UTG raise with Ac Kd and bet out the Ks Qs 7s flop but was called and slowed down with the 8s hit the turn and mucked to a bet, he was shown the Aspades Js, so the turn definately saved him although he's still down 1k or so. Sverre Sundbo just turned up in the press room, so I'm guessing he's OUT. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on October 27, 2006, 03:30:26 PM With the blinds rising to 50/100, here are a few early chip counts after the first hour:

Bit of a sickener. Roland De Wolfe led out on a 4s 5h Aspades board. She raised, he moved all-in (in effect, putting her all-in) she called. Bad Girl: 4h Ad Roland: 3c 4d Turn: Qs River: 2h Richard Redmond is also OUT. His seat inbetween JP and Rob Yong has been taken up by Greg Raymer(!) Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 27, 2006, 04:39:37 PM The blinds are now 75/150.
I briefly spoke to JP about having Raymer moved to his table and he's enjoying himself, he thinks Raymer is not sure what sort of player JP is yet and is still testing the waters against him. He has 10,125 incidentally. (JP, not Raymer) Red-Dog -- 8k Pab -- 7k Geeforce -- 7k Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on October 27, 2006, 05:01:04 PM Kevin O'Connell is OUT

K-K vs 9-7 on an 8-6-x flop. Ten on Turn. It also appears as though Ramzi Jelassi has eliminated Vicky Coren. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on October 27, 2006, 05:23:44 PM Ram Vaswani is OUT.
First off he doubled up former Mob member, Ross Boatman, with Queens versus Kings. And then, with just 2k left, his Pocket Eights failed to stand up against K-Q. King on the River. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on October 27, 2006, 05:31:25 PM Simon Trumper is OUT.
Re-raised an early position raised from the Big Blind to 1,650 with Aces. An extra 1,200 to call, which the initial raiser did. Flop = 5h 8h 5c Not wanting to mess around and hoping that his opponet moved in with a hand like Tens or Jacks, Simon bet 2,400, a bet which his opponent called, although at one point he was even mulling up a re-raise. Turn = 9h Not a great card, but Simon, who wasn't going to pass, had the Ace of Hearts, and so moved all-in. His opponent announced, "I've got lucky here" and called with his 7d 6d. Simon still had 13 outs, but it wasn't to be as the River brought the Ks. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 27, 2006, 05:41:13 PM Geeforce is back up to 10k, he turned a set of Nines that got paid off.
Mike Lacey is OUT. Tens vs. Kings. Was down to 4k. Meanwhile, Barny Boatman is down to just 2k after losing a 30k pot with 9-9 on a 9-J-x Flop. Mateyboy had J-J. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on October 27, 2006, 05:46:40 PM Padraig Parkinson -- 5,925

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 27, 2006, 06:41:22 PM Pab has just gone on a break, slightly steaming, he got a guy all-in with 7-7 on a 8-7-4 flop against Queens but matey turned a third lady in a 14k pot, Pab down to about 6.5k
Steve Vladar -- 17.5k Barny Boatman is OUT. He had 5-4 on a 6-4-2-8 board for a pair and double gutshot draw but matey already had the nut straighting 7-5 and the river was not a seven. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on October 27, 2006, 06:51:34 PM Tim Flanders -- 14,900

He was down to 3k, then ran into the button's Kings when he was in the small blind with Tens, leaving him with just 350, he then doubled up to 950 with K-Q against A-J and the possibility of a Thewy revival came into play. There was a UTG raise to 600 and a call, followed by Julian pushing for 950, with another call behind him, then the big blind pushed all in to spoil all their fun giving Jules the chance to quadruple up but unfortunately his A-Q was dominated by the A-K of the BB. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on October 27, 2006, 07:17:03 PM Frank Callaghan just doubled up courtesy of Tony Chessa.

Ricki Nielsen Bernard Litman Keith Hawkins Julian Gardner Tony Chessa Harry Demetriou Christer Johannsen Devilfish is OUT after his threes (all-in pre-flop) failed to hold up against a limpers A-4. 8 on the River gave Mateyboy a Q-5-6-7-8 straight. Thomas Dunwoodie has just been eliminated too. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 27, 2006, 10:40:59 PM Pab is OUT, most of the damage done when he called a re-raise from aggressive scandiegirl preflop and called her 4k bet on the J-7-5 flop with sixes, he then bet 8k virtually putting her all-in on a 2nd Jack turn, she called all-in with Tens leaving Pab with just 4k. With the ante, a round was costing 1k a time, so Pab pushed UTG with 7-5 and was called in the BB by Michael Greco's A-J.
Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on October 27, 2006, 11:46:45 PM Michael Greco is OUT.
A-Q vs 9-9 Q-7-5-2-9 Dave Gregory has also been eliminated. Ronnie Moore exited earlier on today. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 28, 2006, 12:25:54 AM Roland now has around 80k, not sure how he got them, some crap about, "not able to laydown top pair to anyone..."
Stu Rutter up to 21k, K-K vs a shorty's A-9 Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on October 28, 2006, 12:33:37 AM Nick Gibson -- 30,400

Just a coinflip, 6-6 vs A-9. Pair didn't hold up. Looks like Iwan Jones is also OUT. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on October 28, 2006, 01:08:18 AM Roland de Wolf has just won one of the biggest pots of the comp so far.
Action on a flop of J-9-3 (two of clubs) sees both players check an Ace of Clubs Turn. Roland then moves all-in on the red Ten River, a bet which his opponent calls after a lengthy session in the think tank. Mateyboy shows Pocket Kings (including the King of Clubs), but Roland scoops a massive pot with J-T (no clubs) and Roland is probably in the top 3 chip leaders with 80k. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 28, 2006, 01:24:16 AM Stu Rutter lost a few chips again but doubled back up with K-K against A-Q before the end of play.
In the very last hand of Roland's table, Andreas Hagen raises, Roland re-raises and the shortish big blind pushes all-in, Andreas pushes in behind him and Roland is forced to call. BB: Ks Ts Andreas: Jd Jh Roland: Ahrt Js Board: 8d 4s 5c Th 3d Big pot for Andreas but Roland still has 70k. Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 1B - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 28, 2006, 01:29:03 AM Stu Rutter doubles up before the end with K-K vs A-Q.
