Nick Gibson is OUT

A-Q vs A-K

"I thought he was at it"

Post by: snoopy1239 on October 28, 2006, 02:15:53 PM
George Geary is also OUT

He doubled up first hand with Jacks, but a couple of minutes later he was back in the thick of it with Aces. He raised to 4k but was met with two callers and a K-K-4 Flop. One opponent had K-J and the other hand 4-4.

And so is Joahn Storakers.

Shorstacked, he made his move with J-7o, but ran into the A-Q of Wille Tann.

Board = T-6-K-T-4

Andy Black has already eliminated two players - could be his EPT.

First time round he saw off Trigas Maximilianos. Trigas raised to 4k, Andy made it 12k and Trigas moved in for 50k. Andy called with his Jacks, Trigas showed 3-3, which was unable to catch up.

And then, shortly after Mateyboy ran Jacks into Black's Ladies.

Simon Nowab is OUT, he ran J-J into Rob Taylor's Q-Q, then lost the last few chips with J-6 against Jacks.

Marcel Luske is OUT Q-J vs 8-8. Board 4-T-9-6-4

Pascal Perrault and Dave Barnes are also OUT.

dpommo asked me to report his exit for his fans back at home.

"Top pair versus a maniacs top pair, I had about 30 odd thousand, but not any more"

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance
Post by: snoopy1239 on October 28, 2006, 02:52:25 PM
Rob Yong is up to around 80k after eliminating Mateyboy with Nines v Sevens on an A-9-7 Flop.

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance
Post by: snoopy1239 on October 28, 2006, 02:59:04 PM
Tim Flanders and Padraig Parkinson (second hand) are OUT.

Meanwhile...

Ade just got knocked down a peg or two, he's now looking rather sheepish after dropping down to 50k.

He called an early position raise from the big blind with 8d 6d.

Flop = Ad 6c 2c

Scandieboy bets out 6k (leaving himself just a few thousand behind) and Ade, after a brief session in the think tank, sticks him all-in.

Scandie boy shows Aspades Qc and is looking good and although the Jd Turn brought the Gutshotter a few extra outs, it wasn't to be for Ade as the River saw a harmless Th hit the felt.

Ramzi is OUT, he came over the top of a re-raise with A-8 but was called by A-K.

Noah Boaken just had Tens v Tens, which held up.

Dave Clayton had the black ones, he remains on around 80k.

Johnny Lodden -- 51k

Others:

Martin Wendt -- 19.5k
Anders Berg -- 20.5k
Adebayo -- 52k

Other news...

Stu Fox has just doubled through.

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance
Post by: snoopy1239 on October 28, 2006, 03:59:01 PM
Dave O'Callaghan is OUT.

He somehow managed to get his shortstack up to 37k after struggling through the latter stages of Day 1, but after having his A-T check-raised on the Flop (a fold which forced him back down to 19k), he finally pushed with Pocket Fives only to run into a pair of Knaves.

Roland de Wolfe has 165k.

Some bad Stu news now:

Stu Fox just lost a huge pot, (close to 90k) on a 7c Qd 4c Ad 7d board. He had Kc Jc for the missed drawing hand, which was behind Matey's Qs 4s.

Stu Rutter just had his Aces cracked by Qc 9c on a Qh 9s 3d 2c 7c board. He's managed to double up to 15k though against the same player when his Ahrt 8c held Ac 4c on a Aspades 6s 7c Qc 8d board.

Azad Pirooti and Stu Rutter are both out.

Azard moved in with 9-7 on a 6-7-8 board, Roland had 9-9 and there was no help. Roland has over 200k now.

Stu got crippled with 9-9 against A-K then pushed with A-9 only to get called by T-T.

Jonas Helness, who was the overnight chip-leader, has just doubled up after dropping down the rankings.

A-J vs T-T on a 7-J-3-8-4 board

all-in preflop

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance
Post by: snoopy1239 on October 28, 2006, 05:56:46 PM
Adebayo Odetoyinbo is OUT.

A bad beat too.

Scandieboy raised from the button, another Scandieboy moved all-in from the small blind and Ade put his tournament life on the line with Jacks in the Big. The original raiser mucked.

Although he'd caught his opponent with stealing the initial raise, the Knaves were no match for the Small Blind's K-9, which spiked a King first card.

Andy Black has just doubled up to around 200k after getting it all-in with Nines vs the Pocket Cowboys of William Thorson.

A flush on the River won it for Black.

Dave Clayton's got about 70k. He just took a hit putting Stu Fox all-in with Aspades 8s vs Kh Qh, the flop was 3h 4h 5h leaving Dave needing running cards for a straight flush split. It didn't come.

Spot of luck for Nick Slade who has just eliminated Nichlas Saarisilta with Sevens vs Kings, a 5 of diamonds on the River giving Nick a flush.

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance
Post by: snoopy1239 on October 28, 2006, 07:57:17 PM
Two all-ins up in two hands from the feature table.

First Johnny Lodden doubles up with Q-Q vs A-J, then Luca Pagano and Rob Yong (the former pushing first) split a pot with A-Q vs A-Q on a 5-3-T-T-A board.

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance
Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 28, 2006, 08:06:55 PM
Foxy ran Q-Q into A-A and then 7-7 into A-K.

Dave Clayton is very short, there was an UTG raise, the small blind re-raised and Dave pushed with Kings. Like you do. Except UTG passed and the small blind called. With Aces.

Ouch.

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance
Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 28, 2006, 08:13:45 PM
Marc Goodwin has doubled up with Ac Js against Qs 9s. Ace on the flop.

Jonny Loden has "a superhuman read on the game" according to Rob, he just folded despite Rob being very short and showed Th 3c, Rob who hadn't looked at his cards then flipped over aces....

Rob pushed in the next hand from the small blind with Q-5 and was called by the big blind's A-J. The board came T-5-6-6-6

34 players left....

Johnny Lodden has taken a big knock, doubling up Patrick White in the process.

A-K vs A-Q, Queen on the Turn.

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance
Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 28, 2006, 09:00:26 PM
And the bubble is gone!

Patrick White went out in 34th when his A-Q was beaten by Lodden's K-T after board came Q-x-x-A-J

But Andy Black is astonishingly our bubbler, he raised from the button with A-K after William Thorsten had limped UTG and called the raise. The flop came A-9-4 and Andy  bet with William check/raising all-in, Andy called in a huge pot (450k) and was shown a set of Nines. Another Ace came on the turn but no Ace, King or Four appeared on the river.

Rob Yong got caught with his fingers in the cookie jar, moving in with T-7, but receiving a call from his shortstacked neighbour who held Pocket Sevens. No help on the board, although Yongsta did pick up a gutshot draw on the Turn.

Rob is now down to 20k.

Rob Yong -- 20k
Paul Testud -- 105k
Marlon Baran -- 165k
Ray Coburn -- 80k
Vinny McNamee -- 100k

Erling Nicolaisen is OUT, Kh Jh vs 7h 7c.

Board:

Qc 6s 8s 5d 4s

Pat O'Callaghan gets a bit of luck against Luca Pagano with A-J vs J-J. The board came 7-T-5-8-9. Rob Yong and Nick Slade both passed an Ace each.

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance

Rob Yong has doubled up to around 90k, he pushed from the small blind with Qs 5d and got a call from the big blind's rather imposing Kc Qd.

Flop:

7c 7h Ts

No help...

Turn:

5s

River:

4d

Yongsta got a stack that can do damage now.

Marc Goodwin is OUT,

He held Aspades Kd, not good enough against the Ac Ad of the seat next to him.

Especially not after the board read 9c Kc Ahrt 7c Qd.

Roland despose of another player in the bizarrely named Ara Melikian.

Ara was shortstacked and made his move with a lowly 9-3 suited, but found a caller in Roland who took him on with A-8.

The 7-T-2 rainbow flop was no good for Ara, whilst the Ace on the river confirmed his exit.

Down to 24.

There's now a redraw for the remaining 24 players, but last hand before that happened, Rob Yong moved his 100k in from the button, the big blind dwelt asking him if he wanted a call and Rob said he was about "50-50,".

The big blind called and his Aspades 9d was ahead of Rob's Ks Qc.

Board:

2h Kd 6c 5s 2c

Rob on around 200k now.

Gavin Sims knocks out Kambiz Kashi with A-K against A-5 on a A-6-3-9-7 board.

He then crippled the last lady Karin Lindgren with Qc Qs against her Ac 6c on a Jc 2h 7c 3h 7d board. She went all-in blind the next hand for her remaining 3k and went out to a Queen-high straight.

20 left now I think.

On one of the other tables, Simon Ehne is definitely OUT.

Just showing what a solid tight player he is. ;)

Roy Brindley is OUT in 17th place, Marcel raised to 30k UTG and Roy moved all-in for another 31,100. Marcel called.

Paul Testud is OUT, he made a suspicious raise for about half his stack and then Gavin Sims moved all-in and Paul had to call. I said Paul had pocket 4's and Gavin had a medium pair, Simon Young (Suffolk Punch) said Gavin had A-Q and Paul had a monster.

Paul had 4h 4d, Gavin had 8d 8s. (Ship it to Floppy!!!)

The Eights held and Paul is OUT.

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance
Post by: snoopy1239 on October 29, 2006, 12:17:08 AM
Rob Yong has strengthened his stack with an all-in re-re-raise.

Marcel Baron made it 25k from early position, Roland de Wolfe raised it another 80-90k and Rob Yong moved all-in for about 300k.

Marcel and Roland both find, meaning that Rob has surpassed the 400k mark.

Luca Pagano is OUT in 13th...

... and Willie Tann marches on.

Willie raised to 45k with Pocket Kings, Luca moved in for 115k with A-Js and, after Thorsson had eventually decided not to get involved, Willie made the almost obligatory call.

Willie sweated out the 5-6-2-9-J board and is now starting to gather some steam.

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance

Roland has busted out Christoph Stahler, Roland raised to 31k with Ahrt Ts, Christoph moved all-in from the big blind and Roland asked for a chip-count, which according to Rolf was wrong but Roland had said call anyway and caught Christoph at-it with Kh 5c.

Board:

Ad 5s Qd 3h 9s.

Roland must have almost a million of the 3.89 million in play.

Title: Re: PokerStars Dublin EPT: Day 2 - At A Glance

Rob Yong has just eliminated Marcel Baron.

With the blinds at 5k and 10k with a 1k running ante, Marcel moved all-in from early postion for a rather hefty 150k with Kc Qs.

But waiting in the blinds was Mr Rob Yong, who made a good call with Ac Ts.

Board = 7c Jc 3d 4s 4h

... and Rob is now up to about 550k.

William raises with 6s Ts, George moves all-in with Ad 7c which is called.

Board:

Aspades 8s 2d Th 7c

I believe that's the first hand George has played this tournament.

Blinds are now 8k/16k with a 2k ante.
