Title: How should i of played this one
Post by: NEVES on November 01, 2006, 05:04:27 PM
Hi,

Cash game NL 9 handed blinds 0.25/050 my stack $98

All fold to me in seat 5 i call holding AJs (mistake i know lol) seat 6 fold
button ($155) calls SB  folds BB ($85) checks,

FLOP Jd 8h Jc BB bets $2 i raise $2 button calls BB folds
TURN 3c i bet $8 BUTTON calls (not to keen on this)
RIVER 2s i bet $12 BUTTON raises $12 ( i put him on J with lower kicker or
J8, 88, 22, in that order) so i call and he flips over 22 ( bless him)

Should i of passed on river or bet stronger pre, on, and post flop  ?

              Thanks
                   Neves.

No cash game expert but i'd make a note of the name of the player on the button and follow him everywhere!!

Calling a raise and a reraise on a J8J flop then a pot size bet on the turn when a fourth overcard to his pocket 2's appears!!

sounds like the kind of player i'd like at my table :)up

indeed...

I am not the best cash game player (in fact I stink at it worse then a dead possum) but I think you played it fine..You have to call the river for only 12$ in that pot with trip jacks and the best kicker..or atleast I would.
