I received an email this morning from a poker friend, and I am quoting an exercpt from it. What would you advise him to do if this happens again?

Twice on the bubble the young Asian looking guy invited the small blind to call my low-stacked all in (Asian guy was on BB) -saying that they can check it to the river. completely standard play I know but I thought inappropriate to openly suggest this. TWICE!

Fortunately, both times the other young guy on the small blind (Italian guy ?) declined his offer (which I think was the wrong play, but wont complain as both times he would have knocked me out!). Is that acceptable for him to do this?"

I agree..it is quite clearly softplay...and quite clearly unacceptable...I would never ever suggest something like that openly.

everybody checks it out or atleast if you bet it you tend to have the nuts (as hands are ussually shown when someone else is all in and you don't want to be caught bluffing in that situation)..but to suggest teaming up on someone is simply not on.

This type of thing is one of my biggest hates in the game. He should have reported it to the cardroom manager, what happens then of course will differ from venue to venue.
Certainly you can not advise anyone how to play a hand this is clearly against the whole spirit of the game.
I would be very interested to know what the APAT's take on something like this would be.
 I know one of there goals is to standardise the rules of the game, so what would would be there ruling on this issue ?

This is something I have always wondered about.  When in this position once I raised and got a mouthfull from the other player for bad play.  I couldn't understand this

There's no need for abuse for not checking it down.  The only time I don't check it down is if I have the nuts.  I generally just 'tusk' when others bet.

You are probably making a huge tactical error by doing this.

If i think i have the best hand i nearly always bet in these situations. So what if it prolongs the bubble, unless i am an ultra shorty, the bubble extension is good.
