Should I be checking the river and hoping he bluffs if he has a high club and minimise my loss if he has a bigger six? I can't see what I'm beating when I'm min-raised on the river. (I know, I know I should be passing preflop...)

dont like the bet on the end out of position. check call.

can I ask what you were doing playing garbage from the SB, and when you hit trips with the garbage, end up folding. what were you expecting, quads ?

yeah I agree with this.

In fact I reckon the guy didn't even have the flush or straight. probably a monster pair....but i can't see how you can fold to a min raise in this pot after you bet it with trips.

Given your stack size you should probably fold preflop. I don't think that hand is worth half a blind there.  After the flop I think you played it very well. More often than not you lose chips by missing a river bet rhere but its a good fold. The river min raise will never be from a hand you beat.
