Title: Neteller Currency??? Post by: Maroon on September 08, 2005, 04:54:04 PM Is it best to set up Neteller to £ or $?
Title: Re: Neteller Currency??? Post by: Sheriff Fatman on September 08, 2005, 04:56:12 PM Keep it in US$ - fewer cross-currency transactions that way.
That way you can move money easily from one site to another in US$ without incurring exchange costs every time. The only time you will do so is when you eventually cash out from whichever site you choose. Sheriff Title: Re: Neteller Currency??? Title: Re: Neteller Currency??? Post by: Sheriff Fatman on September 08, 2005, 09:06:57 PM Be careful with the debit card though. The fees are high.
You transfer from Neteller onto the debit card which goes via a US$ - Canadian $ - US$ route so you end up with less than you started. You then have to convert again from the card in US$ to Sterling at the cash machine. Last time I did a transaction that way, the exchange rate ended up at over $2 to the £, since which time I've used the Party debit card option. Its worth having a Neteller Debit Card, as you can get cash quickly if you need it. However, I wouldn't recommend it as your everyday form of cashout. Sheriff Title: Re: Neteller Currency??? Post by: I KNOW IT on September 08, 2005, 09:39:03 PM I thought so too, but when I rang they told me the xchange rate was $1 - 0.53p, which didnt seem too bad, for the easy access it allows.

The sneaky Canadian $ one probably wasn't included. Title: Re: Neteller Currency??? i keep my account in $s as i transfer to and from sites in $s all the time |
