Title: Amsterdam Main Event Live Update Post by: tikay on November 08, 2006, 09:14:32 AM Jen & the snoopster are in Amsterdam to bring you a Live Update for the "Lido" Main Event, one of Europes biggest Events.
Those of you with long memories may recall we did this Event last year, but got ejected for the last 2 days. Despite that, we carried on, with Jen defeating the Security Staff's every attempt to stop her reporting fom inside the ropes. We did say "never again", but Jen has twisted my arm, she said "oh biugger it, let's give it a go", so there you go! Coverage starts today, 2pm Holland time. We hope...... The Live Update thread is already open - do please say "Hi" to our two Updaters. Only one Updater was allowed inside the Casino - Rolf Slotboom. We sweet-talked our way through the first 2 days, but then got slung out! The other Updaters were Updating from nearby Hotels - running back & forth, or doing it by relayed text messages. Only in Holland..... And I was offered a free seat in the Main Event on a 50/50 basis by a most generous & kind blondeite - how nice was that? But I am working tonight on Poker Night Live, & tomorrow & Friday elsewhere, so it is a no-no, regrettably. A shame, but we can't be everywhere. I'll retire soon, so that I can do these big Events. Where have I heard that before?
