After being on the cocktails for a week solid when in Portugal I have returned back home with a taste for them and I have been trying my hand at making a few I had when away.  Overly priced in the pub, but cheap as hell to make at home especially with all the duty free.

So whats your favourite cocktails.

Mines at the moment has to be Frozen Irish Mint.  Measures dependent on your taste buds.

6 shots of Baileys Irish Cream or Equivalent
2 tbls of Peppermint extract
I shot of brandy
500ml of Lemonade
100ml of milk
Few Dollops of Vanilla Ice Cream

Its bloody lovely.  I suggest you all get one.  I'm now on my 2nd bottle of Baileys.

Orange Russian

some Vodka
some Tia Maria
lots of Orangina

Imagine Terry's Chocolate Orange with a kick.

balieys malbu and whiskey (malt for that little extra luxury)

If only I had a bottle of Malibu - its on the shopping list.

I like the name as well.

Personal fav of mine if id ever been drinking cocktails is

bay of pigs..

Tastes like ribena that hasnt properly been diluted

tomato juice
lemon juice
tabsaco
slice of lime

you can have wochester sauce but i dont because it has fish or animal product in it

all ive got in the house is cider,glayva and smirnoff vanilla vodka


any concoction available with these ingredients

i need a stiff one cos im doing the HU challenge later with karabiner

just get some ice and pur the gleva over it........dont spoil it

I have only ever had one before, it was in a bar in Glasgow opposite Borders called Fridays.  I think the drink was called a Peach Punch.  Very tasty

TGI Fridays they do some crackers in there but its very pricey.

We went there on a work night out once there was 7 of us and had £200 of vouchers to spend that we won at work and managed to do the lot in just 3 rounds :-)

Class night out the last I remember was heading to reflex!

Yea, it is a good place.  I was there on a night out for someones 21st last year.  Very expensive

Ingredients:
- 2 oz vodka
- 1/2 oz Blue Curacao
- 4 oz Lemonade

I wish you hadn't put that up there, i love worcestershire sauce in loads of things and now i can't have it anymore. ignorance is bliss.

I used to be a cocktail barman and i invented a beauty that girls used to love

2 parts vodka
1 part triple sec (cointreau)
1/2 part blue curacao
OJ and PJ
Dash of sours and shake with crushed ice.  mmmmmm

I'm going to have to be boring and say a Black Russian.

I have heard that White Russians are nice as well, but as I'm not a lover of alcohol, I haven't as yet tried one!

On the odd occasion I do drink, it's Tia Maria and Coke for me, so the Black Russian isn't much different.  lol

The best cocktail I had was in Glasgow, a cocktail bar that Rod Paradise took me too.

The cocktails didn't have names, you told the guy what flavours you liked and he did the rest.

Ace and Mad instead of Worcestershire Sauce try Hendersons Relish - tastes almost the same but doesnt have the anchovies in it (check the Veggie Soc website - I think it's OK)

'Gorillas in the mist' at Plant Hollywood in Cesar's.... remember it was milk based and alcohol loaded!

A nice home made one is vodka (blavod if u want colour), amaretto & Baileys....

Long island iced tea

A "Leopard's A**hole" - messiest drink ever.

Unfortunately JoJo's moved on to another bar..... :(

My favorite that I know a name of is the Zombie.

apricot liqueur, white rum, golden rum, black rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, ice. The float a measure of overprooof rum on top....

The old Chicago Meatpacker's restaurant in Glasgow used to do a 2 pint jug for £8 in the happy hour..... How many glasses sir? One, or a really long straw please :D

Long Island Ice Tea, classic, simple.

Just make sure you don't put too much coke in; it's supposed to be a mere dash for colour - some people put so much in that the whole thing just tastes like vodka and coke which really isn't the point.

I also had a 'Rum Appleberry' once at a Birthday party that was held in a cocktail bar in Covent Garden. It became the drink of choice for the evening, the barman would crush up various red berries in a little tea-strainer type device before adding the alcohol. Very, very nice.
