Title: EPT Post by: Milkybarkid on September 09, 2005, 02:18:33 PM As a keen observer of tournament structures i am always keen to find out this info before big tournaments.
I was looking at the EPT schedule (www.ept.com) for season two where the buy has been standardised to 4000 euro. How come if they have done this they can't standardise the structure? Barcelona and Dublin are 2 day events.... whereas all the others are three day events. Barcelona is a 45 min clock for a 4000 euro event?? That is same clock as a £200 event at Luton. I imagine all the other EPT events will be at least a 60 min clock. Title: Re: EPT Post by: Ironside on September 09, 2005, 02:35:08 PM think london is a 3 day event because there is 2 day 1s so it really is a 2 day event they just want more people in
Title: Re: EPT Post by: Milkybarkid on September 09, 2005, 02:36:44 PM Yeh but it will be a 60 min clock minimum. I'm certain of that.
45 min just seems so fast for a big buy in event Title: Re: EPT Post by: Ironside on September 09, 2005, 02:40:10 PM i agree
Title: Re: EPT Post by: wsopin07 on September 09, 2005, 02:44:17 PM thats one of the problems w/ poker, no structure, when I good to McDonalds I know what I will get (sick) but every casino is different. It really should be the same for all events on 1 circuit, I think the WPT is always the same?
Title: Re: EPT Post by: Milkybarkid on September 09, 2005, 02:52:36 PM lol.
I presume all the $10000 buy in events for the WPT are the same. It should be but how do the players get these things to change? Title: Re: EPT Post by: TightEnd on September 09, 2005, 02:54:03 PM agreed. I want to play the EPT at the Vic at the end of the month. Anything less than an hour clock does lessen the attraction somewhat. As it's the Vic, I'm not confident
Title: Re: EPT Post by: TightEnd on September 09, 2005, 02:54:39 PM p.s
someone get John Duthie to be a Blondeite...he posts on THM. Title: Re: EPT Post by: Milkybarkid on September 09, 2005, 02:56:32 PM The last two main events at the Vic have been a 60 min clock. As was the EPT there last year. So i imagine it will be
Deauville was superb ... a 75 min clock. Monte Carlo was 90 minute but for a much bigger buy in. Title: Re: EPT Post by: Ironside on September 09, 2005, 02:58:32 PM hey ben not sure if you look even more angry in that pic that the oe you just replaced
Title: Re: EPT Post by: Milkybarkid on September 09, 2005, 03:11:29 PM I was given someone my staredown. Enough to make anyone scared.
;) Title: Re: EPT Post by: julian on September 09, 2005, 05:40:26 PM last years EPT at the vic was a 3000 buy-in & it was a 45 min. clock...
agree, buy-in standardised, structure should be too |
