Well we were 1-1 down to the decider match

Stone raised,  i reraised all in with KQ v his AJ spades
flop is K Q 3, with 2 spades, turn another 3, river spade

eek i'm out :(  the outdraws again boo

Technically not an outdraw, but still not nice when it happens this way round. At least you now know what the Camel must have felt like in Amsterdam when the 4 fell on the river ... ;)

The killer in the second game was when the QS came on the turn to give Jon trips and me the flush.

I could claim that it was the distraction of being in the cash of the $2 tourney and trying to make the final table that was to blame,

Sick outdraw Mel, unlucky.

Sick beat, but not an outdraw.

He has nine spades and 3 tens, twice, to win. 12 outs twice, Mel has a redraw to a house. Haven't run it, but he's not that much of a dog. Also money went in pre-flop?


So not much of a beat or an outdraw really!

The (marginal) best hand won, just cruel when the pokergods give you that glimmer of hope before crushing you like a weeoouurm (that's braveheart for worm).

Preflop Mel is a 39% dog. On the flop she's 59% favourite.

So not sick at all.

A game which seemed to be where the outdraws live out their final years ended when I had KQ against his AT and I spiked a queen on the end.

We had previously split a pot when we both got it all in on a 48QQJ board. Naturally, we had both thought our full houses of Queens over Fours would have been enough to win the hand outright.

Take it home Z (then I can say I lost to the winner).

How's the book coming on Tighty?  I want to place a virtual bet on Zimbrabim.

Well I've just played Snoopy, who thankfully has slept very little in the past 2/3 days  ;) , and managed to beat him 2-0 after two very cagey games.

I was helped considerably by hitting the flops exactly when I needed to, but hey I'll take the win!   ;D
