Title: Very Good Opportunity Post by: tipster on November 20, 2006, 10:14:59 AM This sort of bet doesn't come along very often and its the best kind.
X factor The Mcdonald Brothers to win, since being slated on TV by Simon Cowell they have ammassed a huge fanbase and are looking like shock winners. The bookies will be slashing their odds very quickly and here's why:- Cast your vote Who is your favourite? Results: Votes Per cent Ben Mills 5,808 13% Eton Road 5,580 12% Leona Lewis 9,010 20% The MacDonald Brothers 17,241 38% Raymond Quinn 5,536 12% Robert Allen 2,695 5% Total votes: 45,870 http://entertainment.aol.co.uk/the-x-factor-who-is-your/article/20061110054509990001 You can still get 33/1 with Ladbrokes but I doubt that will be around for long, they are likely to be around 6/1 by this time next week so get on! - if everyone who bets on them votes on them as well how can they lose? Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: boldie on November 20, 2006, 10:24:51 AM you can bet on them but only to lay them on betfair.
blah, what am I saying...everyone who votes for anything on the X factor or talentless dimwits such as the Macdougal brothers deserves to lose their money. It's the sort of telly that makes me sick. And it's not like Simon Cowell said something like this on purpose simply because he knows the Scots tend to go into a nationalist frenzy whenever one of them gets slagged off. I can't wait for the Scottish Mail and Sun to start hyping everyone up and get the nation voting. Mr Cowell will be laughing all the way to the bank as everyone votes in. Last weeks show made 400k in voting dosh...well done on a great business Simon. People voting for talentless twats has enevr been a more popular past time. anyways...back to trying to find a kitten to strangle now. Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: Graham C on November 20, 2006, 02:23:52 PM The opportunity has passed on The MacDonald Brothers in my opinion. They're not going to get much further in this and taking them two weeks ago at 60odd on BF was the time to do it.
Backing Leonna from the start was a good opportunity 8) Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: tipster on November 20, 2006, 06:04:20 PM Ladbrokes have now cut the odds from 33/1 to 25/1, still good value when VC are taking no chances and offering only 10/1
Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: thetank on November 20, 2006, 06:59:19 PM Good work tipster.
Will be keeping a close eye on Betfair as to when to lay. The danger of course is that if they are in the bottom two one week, they'll almost certainly be eliminated. Simon voting for them is pretty locked in, Sharon would have to send home one their own acts to keep them in the competition, or Eton Road would have to appear with Mcdonald Bros in the bottom two for them to have any chance of surviving the judges. Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: thetank on November 20, 2006, 07:00:50 PM I can't see that happening though, 51,500 AOL crazeeys won't be wrong. :)
Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: thetank on November 20, 2006, 07:04:45 PM The opportunity has passed on The MacDonald Brothers in my opinion. They're not going to get much further in this and taking them two weeks ago at 60odd on BF was the time to do it. Did you know that two weeks ago? If so, where was the post? ;) I think it's still worth getting on at 25 to 1 on Laddies, and laying on Betfair after they survive Saturday. That poll is very persuavive. Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: tipster on November 20, 2006, 07:18:23 PM The likelyhood is that they won't be in the bottom two, they never have been yet and both Ray and Eton Road have. Ray is odds on to be in the bottom two this week and if The Mcdonalds are as well then the casting vote will be with Sharon who seems sided with Louis at the moment.
You have to also remember that either this week or next week the judges voting stop and its all down to public vote. Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: thetank on November 20, 2006, 07:27:49 PM Sharon sending home Ray?
I hope to buggery it doesn't come to us relying on that. :) Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: Graham C on November 20, 2006, 10:44:01 PM The opportunity has passed on The MacDonald Brothers in my opinion. Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: Ironside on November 25, 2006, 10:51:53 PM i put £10.25 on ealry at 24.34 and just laid off the £10.25 at 13s giving me a free £116.19 bet on the brothers
i cant see them winning cause they are frigging terrible but £116 is a nice reason for them to win if they get past next weekthey might get into about 8-1 i will then take a free £10 and let the rest ide Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: Graham C on November 25, 2006, 11:18:37 PM How was Leonna tonight? Not sure whether or not to lay off.

Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: Graham C on November 26, 2006, 09:39:05 PM Nice one cheers :) Had weddings to go to the last couple of weeks and I've got 2 more in the next 2 weeks ! The missus got me into it......honest :D Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: Graham C on November 26, 2006, 09:41:48 PM They're down to 8/1 now and with Eton Road out they're guaranteed in the last 3 They're not guaranteed it, Ray may not get booted, it will be down to the judges vote. I expect they'll do ok, even Simon said they were good :DTitle: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: Ironside on November 26, 2006, 10:11:39 PM I'm not laying them off yet. I think they'll fall to under 10 at some point. thats why i will never make a good gambler i chicken out early i am tempted to lay off the free £116 i have riding on the brothers and claiming a free £10 no matter who wins Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: tipster on November 26, 2006, 10:23:38 PM The reason they're guaranted in the last 3:-
This show is reliant on the banter between the 3 judges its what makes the ratings for them. If one judge was without an act it would ruin the show which is why Simon is guaranteed to lose an act next week and its highly unlikely that act will be Leonna. Look at previous x factor's, the last 3 are always one from each category. Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: boldie on November 27, 2006, 10:13:04 AM They're down to 8/1 now and with Eton Road out they're guaranteed in the last 3 They're not guaranteed it, Ray may not get booted, it will be down to the judges vote. I expect they'll do ok, even Simon said they were good :Dthe only reason Simon says they were good is because he can see them popping out one single that bsells well. He did the exact same thing with Michelle McManus who is nothing more then a poor upgraded karaoke singer in a pub on a coulcil estate when he thought she might win. Even their rendition of 500 miles was pathetic and anyone who is Scottish can sing that. The comment from Sharon "You absolutely owned that stage" was pathetic but they all now know that the entire Scottish population is voting for them so they have to be nice as they can't have people in the final who they have slagged off right up untill the final. Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: henrik777 on November 27, 2006, 04:18:54 PM No more judges votes.
Phone results only from now on. Bottom place = oot. Sandy Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: thetank on November 28, 2006, 11:09:16 AM Bye bye Ray then

Ray was miles better imo. A contender for winning himself. Perhaps Ben will go, he seems to have lost a bit in the last few weeks. Layed Ray to go, he's too good tonight. Title: Re: Very Good Opportunity Post by: Graham C on December 03, 2006, 01:04:48 AM Layed Ray to go, he's too good tonight. 8) Tell me you McDonald chasers layed off, please?
