Title: Call or fold Post by: Boba Fett on November 24, 2006, 03:08:15 AM Stars $3 rebuy - Freezeout stages
Blinds 100/200 anti 25 1400 players left, 500 paid Im on the button with 9c9h and call an early position raise from the table CL I havent been at the table long but he's playing fairly solid in the time Ive been there, I have only played the blinds. I have around 8k after calling his raise to 700, he has 22k left. Flop comes J 8 2 all of hearts, opponent pushes all in So..........call or fold? Title: Re: Call or fold Post by: jezza777 on November 24, 2006, 03:18:31 AM I pass, if he is getting his whole 22k stack in the centre when there is only jusk over 1k in there then you should get his chips later.
Title: Re: Call or fold Post by: JungleCat03 on November 24, 2006, 05:46:19 AM yeah i think this is a marginal spot and you are deep enough with 40 BBs you don't need to be taking this close a gamble for all your chips.

Title: Re: Call or fold Post by: tantrum on November 24, 2006, 09:47:35 AM why are you considering calling in this spot?
Title: Re: Call or fold Post by: blonde_septic on November 24, 2006, 12:23:39 PM fold is only option 9c 9d
missed the trips...get outa there pronto Title: Re: Call or fold Post by: Highstack on November 24, 2006, 12:59:01 PM Standard pass. It looks like he has something to protect, probably an ioverpair like QQ without the Qh. I don't like that either as so many call nut/big draws on the flop. In his spot, I would prefer to see a brick on the turn before committing my stack.
