Title: DeadWood Post by: Sark79 on November 25, 2006, 09:21:13 PM I got the boxset out of the local library today. I have watched the first three episodes so far, what a cool series this is. To be honest, I have never really noticed it before today, was it shown on channel 5 or SKY?

Easily the best drama from the last couple of years. HBO has been consistently a cut above in their output; they deserve all the credit one can muster... Title: Re: DeadWood Post by: Sark79 on November 25, 2006, 09:32:57 PM HBO does Prison Break as well ( I think ? ) . That is the best drama series along with 24 and ALIAS

That is the best drama series along with 24 and ALIAS Nope, Prison Break is Fox, so is 24 and Alias was produced by ABC, (like Lost). They're all Network shows, hence violence but no swearing.HBO did, amongst others: Sex in the City, Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Real Time with Bill Maher (easily the best chat show ever), Rome [with the BBC], Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Wire, and Deadwood. Prison Break is comedy value though, the only prison in the world where a child molester can talk about raping his cellmates, but nobody can actually use language worse than 'bite me', because it's on network TV. Title: Re: DeadWood Post by: AdamM on November 26, 2006, 11:23:27 AM Deadwood was awesome. Ian Macshane particularly was amazing. at the end of the third and final series though, I was furious because nothing was tied up. I was grumbling for weeks about it UNTIL someone told me there were two feature lengths films planned for next year. can't wait.
