Title: Christmas presents for a poker fanatic Post by: Cell 1919 on December 03, 2006, 01:06:15 PM Apologies if this is in the wrong place or is a duplication of an existing topic :)
Could anyone recommend books/DVDs for a poker fanatic that are slightly out of the mainstream? Hilger, Sklansky, Harrington etc are known about, but there might be a little gem out there which is not so well known. The intended recipient plays low stakes limit hold'em mainly but is as far as I'm aware profitable. He also plays low buy in MTTs & S&Gs. It would be great if any suggestions were available to purchase on-line :) Thank you in advance for any help - much appreciated. Been trying to find a link to it but have come up short so far.
I thought it was a great novelty gift at the time. Sheriff it was reviewed in poker player mag last issue or the issue before - should have details of retailers. I'll see if I can dig it out Title: Re: Christmas presents for a poker fanatic Post by: Graham C on December 03, 2006, 10:46:17 PM This one?

I don't really want them all as I won't read them probably, but it's all I can think off at the moment, they;re just books I thought would be useful. I think asking for a buy in to a comp is a bit cheeky :D

Laptop and everything else would come crashing off the table as you drag them across the room. It'd all end in tears. As for Xmas pressies, I'm going to be asking for lots of books. Can never have too many, and it beats crap ties and 'novelty' gifts. Most will be poker related, and even the worst poker book does help in some way or another, even if it's you questioning the author all the way through - it'll get you thinking.
