Title: OT: This wind! Post by: Trace on December 03, 2006, 03:41:37 PM I can't believe I'm about to admit this, but this wind is scaring the poop outta me, it seems to be coming in from a different direction than usual, and it is honestly scaring the feck out of me!
My house is making noises I aint ever heard before and I've lived here 11 sodding years. Anyone lucky enough not to have it? P.S. I dont mean wind of the farting/burping kind b4 any of you start! Title: Re: OT: This wind! Post by: madasahatstand on December 03, 2006, 03:55:57 PM its gusty up here too. a good way to look at wind like this is around blowing the cobwebs away. its natures way of giving the earth a good dusting :) sit back and enjoy it. if your house has stood for 11 years or more then you have nothing to worry about

Title: Re: OT: This wind! Post by: RioRodent on December 04, 2006, 09:30:40 AM I used nearly £10 more diesel coming back from Newcastle yesterday (265 miles), than it took to get there on Friday... so I guess there was a fair bit of 'southerly' in it?
Title: Re: OT: This wind! Post by: Dingdell on December 04, 2006, 10:54:06 AM We were staying in Brighton - it was like sleeping in a wind tunnel - noise was dreadful and we heard all sorts of bangs and crashes outside - we were on the seafront. On the way home on Sunday we saw the fireworks factory explode in Lewes - massive bright light lit up the whole sky like a bomb - it was like this weekend was the end of the world. Very scary.
