Post by: Poppet7 on December 03, 2006, 09:58:39 PM
Can two people on the same wireless network play the same tourney on blonde?

If it is a MTT, then yes you can.

I didn't think you were allowed to do that?  The IP address will be the same for both, in theory you could play using two log ins with both computers.

I asked a manager as well... even though his first response was "What's a wireless network?" he then told me that we could play the same MTT but he said something about verifying any wins to make sure there was no collusion/chip dumping.

What about if one used broadband and the other used a dial-up connection? (So different IP addresses?)

I suppose more people would do it this way if they stopped people from playing in MTTs from the same IP address.

Well, I could use another wireless network in my street and then no-one would know. Leon and I managed to play the same MTT (and at one point we were on the same table) without any problems. Yes, we COULD collude but we're too competitive for that and not stupid enough to attempt it, especially as some of the people we were playing with know we're a couple.
