Title: Poker Blogs Post by: Jedwick on December 04, 2006, 08:35:47 PM Hey Hey,
First off, does anyone know of any good Poker Blogs for me to read through?? I get bored easily and would like some good reading, Secondly, I was thinking of trying to start writing my own little Blog, I think if i try and document everything somewhere then it'll make me a better player as i can get feedback on all aspects of my game as my B/R management is terrible and i'm always going bust cuz i play well above the level i shud! I dont really play that much, probably only a few STT's a day or so but its something i'd like to do. does anyone know where i shud start? do i need to set my own website up? any help would be appreciated, Jed Title: Re: Poker Blogs Post by: snoopy1239 on December 04, 2006, 08:37:20 PM meese

I've just finished writing the APAT tournament up at NewCastle that I played this Saturday. I don't want to publish that particular article just yet, until I've cleared something with Tikay. (I'm quoting one part from the APAT web-site, and I could do with permission before I do that.) One story that a lot of people have wrote back to me saying they enjoyed it, is called "Relight My Fire". You'll have to go right back to the start though, as it was one of the first stories I wrote on this particular blog. I've also written a couple of murder stories, one was exceptionally good. I wrote that one when I was only 15. Sadly, I destroyed all of my schoolwork shortly after I started working in Engineering, so I don't have a copy. Title: Re: Poker Blogs Post by: snoopy1239 on December 04, 2006, 09:35:11 PM Mine's snoopy1239@blogspot.com (http://snoopy1239.blogspot.com). I try to update it as regularly as possible.
I also like Ben Grundy's, Julian Thew's and Ed Hollis'. All great reads. Alex Martin's is worth a look too. Title: Re: Poker Blogs Post by: Jedwick on December 04, 2006, 10:05:46 PM I guess if i go to Blogspot.com I can register on there? do many ppl read them? or do you have to be a well known in the poker world?
Title: Re: Poker Blogs Post by: Graham C on December 04, 2006, 10:17:33 PM anyone can create one at blogspot. Not sure who reads what, but the more well known poker players blogs are obviously quite popular. I've got one there too. I don't really use it for others to read as such, in fact I don't think anyone does but I use it for more of a chat with myself on what's happening in my poker life at the moment. I don't really have any poker friends in real life so my blog is my friend :D

I really need to update it more, but who wants to hear how my aces got cracked THREE times yesterday? Ad Ac ;frustrated; If any Blondes want to trade blog links then PM me. Title: Re: Poker Blogs Post by: Cell 1919 on December 06, 2006, 01:50:56 PM I have a blog but to be honest I'm such a rank amateur that the thought of decent players looking even once puts me off from advertising the fact to most people.
For what it's worth though the contributions I have had have helped me considerably. There's one arrogant tos*er who belittles my attempts to learn the game but having read his at least I can console myself with the knowledge that unlike him I'm semi-literate and likely to have more friends than he does ;bumwiggle;. Started writing a blog, the address is: http://moritzey.smileandkiss.com (Don't ask about the domain-name, it's a long story ...). Haven't really made up my mind whether or not it will be in English or in Germany, though - it's kind of fifty-fifty so far, might just alternate languages between posts. Not sure if it's going to work, but usually I do quite well with reaching targets when I tell lots of people about them beforehand, so figured a blog might be one way of doing so (just pretending that lots of people read it should put enough pressure on me to then do whatever I set myself to do on there ..). M3boy, if you want to trade links, I'm more than happy too. Can't promise you much extra traffic, though, at this stage, if that's what your after.. ;) Title: Re: Poker Blogs Post by: chopp11 on December 07, 2006, 11:07:18 PM The most interesting blog I have read is 88%concentration. Just waiting too see if he goes bust, read it and you will see.
