Post by: sofa----king on December 07, 2006, 03:17:55 PM i had to laugh just now coming down the drive to my house was the paper boy/man on his bike anyway a crack of thunder and he goes flying of his bike into a tree lol,he wasnt hurt, i did run to help,it just made me chuckle when i thought good job, he was a man and not a boy ,he woulda really hurt his self>>>is this why now there are more paper men than paper boys...our other paperboy/man who delivers the local newspaper is a man too ,,or are they on fantastic money ? i asked my paper boy/man this when he came in to get his self sorted,you know what he said >>>im only 14 hes got a great sence of humor,,hes about 50 lol....good luck to all paper boys/girls/men/ladies....you are a credit to our news ...

Post by: Ironside on December 07, 2006, 05:20:17 PM i used to deleiver papers and flyers as a boy 20+ years ago the money you could earn is much more than the minimium wage is now with christmas around the corner i would think of leaflet and flyer delievery as a good way to cover those extra costs
companies distrubting these cant get enough people even at quiet times at this time of year they will stump up an arm and a leg for a fast and efficent paper/flyer boy Title: Re: are paperboys,really boys? Post by: Enzyme_ on December 07, 2006, 05:28:08 PM 50 thats a young paper boy! old boy round my bit must be easy 65+ tho he does it for bit extra cash and gets him exercise, Paperounds at christmas are the best always made sure i knocked the door as i handed in the paper on the last week managed to make 150 quid in the last week before christmas for about 3 years running!
