Title: To rebuy or not to rebuy?
Post by: TightPaulFolds on December 09, 2006, 07:43:25 PM
Was in a 25 person £50 buy in with one rebuy or top up. 16 people topped up/rebought. Starting with 7000 chips, rebuy or topup for equivalent. End of rebuy session I was up to 11000 chips. Slowish blind structure. Break was quite early. Would you rebuy here? Do you have a formula you use for deciding or do you always just do it?

i would have topped up to give me chips as the more chips you have the easier it is to make plays you need to make to win

Yeah, as it was it got pretty close to the felt. Ironically, once you become the short-medium stack, you make pushes that you wouldn't otherwise make.

If you get lots of chips & the structure is good then imho you have to take the add on
It puts you up to 18000 chips at the end of top ups and presumably blinds will be no more than 100/200 gives you lots of room to play, but I would still play the game as if its a freezeout and then just add on at the end ;)

I take it because I want to play for as long as possible and don't give a stuff about ev, et or e401 for that matter but then I am a very emotional player
