Hi Blondies. anyone know of a good site where i can download films for free ? i'm sat upstairs in the pub and bored shitless, just got my new lappie but not got any dvd's with me, also while we are on the subject of films any recommendations ? cheers. Dave

You can get cracking straight away and watch stuff on youtube.

Eddie Muphy's stand up show Delirious is on there in like 8 parts or something. Probably a few other stand-up sets too.

I know that's not an answer to your question, but no software to install and being able to watch it srtaight away may be a plus.

i got tons of films but dunno how to send em even perfect copies of the new ones out jackass2 dirty sanchez or any top movie in the cinema if you tell me how to do it ill try but i am chit on computers m8.

go into torrentspy and search a guy called axxo, all dvd quality just before release to dvd.... but shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

you need to get a bit torrent client

this will open the file you DL which in turn will download the torrent in question

you can get a good torrnet client from download.com

Once downloaded, will these play in windows media player or do i need a special player?

Once downloaded they "should" play in any player, But if not then get the free VLC media player, I havent found anything that it wont play

How can I improve  the download speed of the torrents?
Only used simple p2p clients before like E-mule and Morpheus.

The best way is to find a file with the most seeders, Most torrent sites tell you how many people are seeding at that time.

the faster you upload the faster you will download

the more seeds there are compared to leechers will also allow faster downloads

you should be able to download a file of about 500meg in around 2-4 hours with a 1 meg connection and an upload speed of 256k

down load bit lord, set your upload rate to about 25, toohigh and you ll strangle your DL speed, if you down load axxo's stuff it will be so heavily seeded most films take 3 hrs max, do one at a time. and right click torrnet, set priority to highest.

axxos stuff will play on anything, i use nero's new player as it gives full screen.

If you're looking for TV-shows, try alluc.org - they have links to pretty much all free streams available, saves downloading time. Got me to waste the better part of today ...
