Title: Omaha Hand Post by: Bertpup on December 18, 2006, 05:17:44 PM I have been doing quite well at the old PL omaha and i enjoy playing as a Shortstack ninja. I have been playing the $1/$2 PL games on crypto and full tilt. Yesterday i thought i would give the $2.5/$5 game a shot with a cheeky $100. I had doubled my stack up and was enjoying it. Then i got involved in a big hand which i would like some feedback on.
Sorry for the lack of proper hand history. Im sat with $220 in the Cutoff with Kc Qc Td 5d. There has been one limper before me i call $5 as does the button and blinds complete. Flop is 9c 2c Jh - So i have second nut flush draw and a wrap Checked around to me i bet $20 Button ($450) who is playing raises to $85 BB ($207) reraises all in So decision back to me for all my chips - I had only been at the table for 20mins the Button looked solid tight aggressive. The BB was crazily loose aggressive. This player had shown down a few dodgy hands and was down $300 from what i had seen. Thoughts would be appreciated muchos thankos Title: Re: Omaha Hand Post by: Rookie (Rodney) on December 18, 2006, 05:39:46 PM ;flushy; ;flushy; i put my chips in here.... ;flushy;
Title: Re: Omaha Hand Post by: NoflopsHomer on December 18, 2006, 05:54:00 PM I pass this hand preflop because of the 5d. You have 11 nut outs here (12 if you count the Ac) but is very vunerable even if you complete your hand on the turn. I check the flop here, your hand is strong but not strong enough to call a re-raise. The only way the flop action works for you is if both the button and BB have a set each or two pair, possible from the flop action, but at least one could be playing the n-flush draw with a smaller wrap. Having said all that, it's $195 to win $337, (more likely $544).

Title: Re: Omaha Hand Post by: Bertpup on December 19, 2006, 01:26:32 PM I did call rather quickly and the button showed JJ and the BB 22. Crypto didnt tease me as the case two came on the turn. At the time i was happy with the call more so when i put it into an Odds calculator and i was 51.3% to win the hand.
When i started to think about the hand i questioned whether in other 3 way situations would i actually be in such a favourable position i.e being up against the nut flush draw and a set. |
