I was obviously scared of J8 but when he bet so much on the turn I put him on a set. I'd probably flatcall his raise..or a slight re-raise. He didn't bet that much compared to the pot (it's slightly less then the pot when he raises 40.) the push is a bit much unless this guy would think you're bluffing completely (doubtfull on this board after the betting on the flop) I would have raised 100$ Title: Re: Did I lose money here or save myself money? Post by: Royal Flush on December 22, 2006, 10:33:04 AM The guy only has 120 back, if you raise it should deffo be all in.

In that case I'd definetly just flat call here Title: Re: Did I lose money here or save myself money? In that case I'd definetly just flat call here But my problem was the amount of danger cards which could come. If the board pairs do I fold to an all in on the river? If an 8 comes I have the idiot end of the straight He later told me he had 99 for a set...knowing then what I know now...was I right to push? Title: Re: Did I lose money here or save myself money? If you know he has a set then yeah just lump it in. Well actually if you know he has a set then wait till the river and the board isn't paired then lump it in. Title: Re: Did I lose money here or save myself money? Post by: Canuck on December 22, 2006, 02:19:45 PM Thats my question, should I have waited until the river if I know he has a set?

Yes, but you will never 'know' for certain Title: Re: Did I lose money here or save myself money? Post by: Dubai on December 27, 2006, 04:01:31 AM Instant call
