My player of the year is tikay.

When he makes a final table it reminds me of one of those flies in amber. No one cares about the fly, but everyone wonders how the hell it got there!

Stuart Fox
2nd and a 3rd at the wsop in those size fields and then his win in Barcelona recently. Plenty of strong runs in other tourns. Stuey can never be accused of going out with a whimper, it is always in monster chip lead type pots

It has to be Harmony for me, from knowing nothing about poker to cashing in tournaments, from being talked off a hand to detecting when someone may be stealing, from not being sure and always checking to knowing when and how much to bet.

She truly deserves a "Player of the year award".

GREAT Post. Remember, it's not just "big names", it can be ANY player at ANY level.

Even the lowest of the low - I'm thinking "Wideload" Kev here.

Has to be ZIPPY for me. Good lad, great consistent results and can change gears to suit game stage and players seated with him.

Kev's done great this year imo.

lol Wideload :D

Cracks me up everytime :D

edit:  Not only for qualifying for the Asian thingy, but for services to poker too.  Whenever the Pro is needed, he's there, he's done well with the Blonde league too and is a huge plus for the poker community.

Mine is a guy called Stephen Boyd, the mole on Sporting Odds.  A year ago he was playing the 25c/50c cash tables and now he is regularly winning on the $25/$50

He won a seat to the Midlands Masters and although he went out on day one he then went on to make a bundle on the cash tables against people who have been playing this game for a very long time.

He is very loud and not to everyone's taste but this will just make him one of the characters out there.  He is going to Goa in March so it will be interesting to see how he does there.

Yes, and he is a HUGE cash-game winner Online. Avoid him if you value your money.

A Scot, though.

My real player of the year, all joking aside, is Pab.

His game is phenomenal at all levels and in all departments, live and online. His attitude and demeanor are an example to us all. His achievements speak for themselves.

Good shout. Pab's one weakness is that when faced with better opponents in Live Cash Games, he's easily bluffed off winning hsnds......
