Title: Surprising fact concerning bleach Post by: Sark79 on December 29, 2006, 06:31:49 PM I read this in the latest Focus magazine and thought it was really surprising. Don't try this at home :D
Bleach is the World's number 1 killer of germs. No bacteria, virus or fungus can survive once being exposed to bleach. It is obvious that drinking neat bleach is a serious danger to your health causing severe damage to your internal organs and most probably death as a result. However, if you need to drink water that you suspect is contaminated with germs, add a teaspoonful of thin bleach to a litre of water, shake well, leave for five minutes and then it's safe to drink. I will remember this fact next time I am stranded in a hillbilly area that doesn't have a clean water supply. 1. Rodents have changed their preference from cereal-based foods to junk food 2. Brown rats can leap more than 2ft in the air 3. The Hebridean Isle of Canna recently had a rat population of 10,000. The human population on the same Island was 16. Rat catchers have now redressed the balance. I am terrified of rats and have now decided never to visit the Isle of Canna, ever :D Title: Re: Surprising fact concerning bleach Post by: madasahatstand on December 29, 2006, 06:53:12 PM 3.
