As for Luis Garcia - the sooner he leaves Liverpool , the better (for your lot) as he is shit!

He was a star man in our European Cup winning run - arguably moreso than Gerrard. People forget some of the important goals he's scored.

If we were lucky I'll take that (with 6 points) every season. ;)

you really think that? as a football purist, I think Garcia has been a great success.

as a stirrer, I think Martin Jol is on borrowed time...lots of young talent, team potential unfulfilled

In Europe definately, in the domestic game he's hit and miss - although the hits do seem to come in the big games vs big opposition.

thats a good point, the only matches i  watch are the euro games and the big premiership matches, so prolly have a tainted view.

As for Jol, I'm on the fence

I think the large overhaul has hurt Spurs this year as has losing Carrick. The team just doesn't look settled.

Hopefully you wont need more than one or two buys per season now and the consistency will come.

Jol has done good so far - I'd give him time.

I know where it's from.  It was written in the forties, but became popular when Gerry Marsden released his version in the early sixties.  The time that....Liverpool fans were singing all the popular songs from the Mersey.

But of course, Celtic fans adopted it first...

There's varying accounts of when it was heard first. TBH neither of us are going to be able to prove it. We sing it best though ;)
