1) A photo of an atomic bomb taken at 1/1000th of a second after it has reached critical mass. 2) Sonic Boom! 3) Hurricane Ivan taken from the ISS(International Space Station). 4) Picture of London taken from the ISS at night. 5) A test fire of Peacekeeper ICBMs at Kwajalein Atoll. 6) Mount Pinatubo, a volcano in the Philippines. The 1991 eruption caused the -complete- evacuation of Clark Air Base, the ONLY time a United States military base was completely evacuated. Everything left behind. 7) Elephant in the womb. Title: Re: A few interesting pics Post by: barhell on January 03, 2007, 06:16:34 PM With reference to the baby elephant photo did anyone see the programme on C4 a couple of weeks back called animals in the womb. It featured dogs, elephants and dolphins. Absolutely brilliant using 4d ultra sounds and CGI to show the development from conception to birth. Well worth watching if it comes round again or is available to download.
