just got back from Huddersfield Grosvenor casino where they was 8 people for the £20 Rb sat for Bolton leg £20 Rb with £5 rake yes £5 they then decided it was pot limit after some discusion and they was paying the first 4 places i then asked was it not advertised as a £1250 package and they said it would be if they got over that amount in the pot i then asked them to check on the blue sq web site if it stated that they was a £1250 package up for grabs they checked and brought back a piece of paper with the last line missing of and said that it did not say there was a £1250 up for grabs after losing all my chips after flopping trip 7s to a strait on the river decided it was not Worth the £20 to Rb when they was paying 4 places  in a 8 table game.so i get home check on blue sq and it clearly states that there was a £1250 package up for grabs so once more we have Grosvenor doing as they please

with there new £20 game on a Thursday with a £5 rake the reason they say it is so high is to pay for proper table for the casino i wot be going in there lol

It does not say the Package is guaranteed.


Elsewhere, the same site says this.....(my enboldened italics)

Qualification is possible both online on Blue Square Poker and live in Grosvenor casinos.

Super satellite qualifiers are multi-table tournaments where a seat in a GUKPT main event is awarded for every £1,050 in the prize pool. For example, if the prize pool is £3,150 in a super satellite, three seats will be awarded, to the top three finishing players.

Online super satellite qualifiers and some live super satellites may also include expenses as part of the package, in which case one package is awarded for every £1,050 in the prize pool plus the value of the expenses......"

i now that it does not clearly state that it is guaranteed but it does lead you to believe that it is and i am sure that some where that blue sq say they are guaranteeing so many place for each event is this then only online and not as they advertised(open to debate)at there live super sat

I really don't know if they said or advertised that they were "Guaranteeing so many places at each event" but if they did, I suspect by "Event" they meant the actual Event at Bolton (or wherever). Certainly, they DO guarantee seats in some or all of the Online Qualifiers. So it would be true to say "they guarantee x seats per Event".

But I do have sympathy for you, it's clear to see how the misunderstanding arose.

I think they (Blue Square & Grosvenor) do & will keep their word, & if they DID Guarantee x packages at Huddersfield tonight, I'm 100% sure they will honour them.

found where they stated that they guaranteed 25 seats it was in the poker player mag advert  and to be fair to them it is online tony but my point is the online avert is very missleading and should be put right . but the hole night was a joke the dealer did not now if it was pot limit or no limit delaying the start then paying 4 places in a 8 man game which they told us this after i had bought in and a £5 rake in a £20 Rb is a but much. but we live and learn
