Post by: temp0r on January 12, 2007, 08:10:16 AM if he was betting his flush draw on the turn then you're not getting any action. a value bet on the other hand may be raised if it looks stealy enough. so i'd bet just over the size of the pot. and hope he has a 10.

The 10 in the hole is as good as 2d 3c on that board. Title: Re: Move in on the river? Post by: M3boy on January 12, 2007, 03:12:01 PM ALL in without doubt
Also I would of bet the flop hard - he would NEVER put you on a Q when you move all in on the river then Title: Re: Move in on the river? Title: Re: Move in on the river? Post by: TightPaulFolds on January 12, 2007, 07:59:16 PM Depends on the opponent. If I've had the privilege of being at his table earlier in the tournament, you know the kind of guy who will bet with a ten, or even without it trying to represent AA KK JJ thinking it's a split pot. Some people I play do it consistently. If he's made a stab at it, he's committed and will call an all in. There are a few players I've been up against who know exactly what all-in means there and if they aint committed enough they will drop it. I was in a similar situation in a cash game, my opponent with KK bet for value on the river and I put them All in with quads for about £200 and they folded declaring my quads, saying 'it was the only thing that made sense.'
Overall, about 60% of those I play would bet into you on the river, and see your reraise as just 'playing chicken'. If they're not going to do that, they're not going to call an all-in if you do that first. Value bet sounds safer, but overall I would say pausing and checking, and typing 'lol' in chatbox is the better move. Title: Re: Move in on the river?
