Some be aware i won the poker league in gala Leeds. What gave me a nice trip to Vegas. So it was all set 10th December of to Vegas for a week. After the trip was won 7 other guys decided to come along for the ride.

We all met the night before going to Napoleons casino Bradford. To play a little poker. Plus we could stay awake all night so we would sleep all the way on the plane. This turned out to be the best idea anyone had for me anyway i took £600 from the cash game in under 4 hours. So a nice little boost before going.

Day1 Landing in Vegas

We got to how hotel the Monte Carlo at 7pm. It was decided we would play the 8pm Venetian tournie. So we all had a quick shower. And decided to walk to the Venetian. Bad idea its not as close as it looked. We got there at 805 but they still let us in i think it cost about $200 in total  and you got 6000 chips and a 40min clock.

I got busted early when my 2 pair got destroyed by the board pairing on the river.

So then i sat down on the 1-2nl cash game. Where i started rip the game up. But why doing this i done something i never do why playing. Drink  and within 2 hours i was drunk and buying back in. I went $600 down when i decided to move to the 2-5nl game.
 Now i was back with in 10min i was up $800. So now i was even for the night. Lucky for me it was not long before the boys decided to got to the Bellagio to see what days the sats were on for the 5 diamonds classic. Where i saw Doyle get pushed by in a wheel chair.

Why they decided to play the cash game. Me and another guy went to play silly buggers in a night club. As we was new drunk and it was now 5am could not find nowhere to go. So we decide to back to how hotel and call it a night. When we got now being very DRUNK after stopping at a few bars. We could not find the elevators. But we found the card room with a 1-2nl cash game so we sat down on that. next thing i know its now 12 in the afternoon and iam going to bed $1300 down.

Day2

Today i planned to play some tournies. So i went down to the card room in the Montecarlo and sat down just for an hour before the tournie at Caesar's started. Well i never left i was the most of the day and night. i decided it was time to get washed and changed. And i wa $800 up. And go somewhere else its then that i realise its 11pm. So i went and got changed and hooked up with a couple of the boys and we went to the MGM. We played cash there till the early hours and decided to call it quits. I was $6 up.
We went back to how hotel and then the real gambler between us decided to play craps. Well i joined in not know what i was doing but it looked fun. Next thing i know it 2pm and the casino are offering comps to the2 of us plus we are both about $1000 up. And buy now i had just worked out how game is played.
 
Day3

I go to the room and decided to stuff bed and go out with a couple of the other boys. We go to NYNY and do there ride there. We then jump a taxi to the stratosphere. We go up and do all the rides up top. Now if you go to Vegas do these rides they are unreal.
We then go back to the Montecarlo to get how heads down. Well i go to walk past the craps tables and this is where i lost $2000 in under an hour. so in now go to the poker room. I have to false my self to stay awake as iam running over the table i decide when the dealer as to wake me up for the 2nd time i need to go to bed.

Day4

A few of us decided to go get a breakfast and to do something for the day. So we end up doing Shark Reef. its OK but not my cup of tea when in sin city. We all now split up and do how own thing. Well i decided to go to the Venetian to play 2-5nl. I started of great at first tripling my $600 buy-in but it happens again i start to drink white Russians and i leave $15 down and that was calling the rock of the table on the river with pocket 2s. I now leave and make my way back to th Montecarlo and bump into a couple of the boys. We decide to hit the card room. once again i destroy the game again win $400+ in a few hours. Me and one other decide its time to go and go clubbing we go to coyote ugly 1st we leave there and go to studio54 but its closed so we the decided to walk to tao and on the way we stop at Aladdin's. Now we find the gem of all gems here we sat at 1-2nl and destroyed the game why getting very drunk.

Day5

This got to be one of the worst days of my life. I went to meet the boys who were playing table games in the casino i decided to join in they were playing WAR what high card turn over. i  joined in i lose $200. We then move to roulette i lose $1000. I then play single deck blackjack. I play every box for $200 the dealer shows a 6 i double split and all sorts dealer got a 10 then a 5 i lose $1400 on one hand. I then go to the craps table i lose $2000 there. I go to the room get more money to play poker and nearly cry for losing $5000 in 2 hours. I go and play poker and i must be on tilt as i lose $900 in no time. I decide to call quits now and go and get drunk and go to bed. Well on deciding to go to bed i get undressed and think F*** it take all my money out of the safe and go down stairs.
I climb back in bed broke with days left.

Day6

I lent some money of my room mate and decided to play poker only. i started the day well and won a little. i went and got changed and went to Caesar's. and sat down and  won over 1000 at the 1-2nl.

Day7

Went shopping and got my Xmas prezzies with  my winnings from last night. We all arranged to eat at a nice restaurant tonight. What we got comped over $500 for the meal. I then went and played the cash game at Monte and won $1400 in under an hour. I hit the biggest rush of cards ever and got a high hand jack pot for quad 8s. We all then went to Body English to finish the holiday on a high.

Final thoughts of Vegas.

The cash games are so soft i could not believe it softest were Montecarlo and Aladdin's

Don't drink you will lose your house

Go clubbin the music class the women un-real

Don't play table games

I think where it all went wrong for me was i had no structure to the day out there plus i dint think i slept for more then 4 hours a night and i kept on drinking a big NO

Nice report, sounds like you had a good time anyway !!

I think its fair to say that this is pretty much a summary of most peoples first trip to vegas if with the boys haha

Although mine involved spending a fair chunk in Crazy Horse 2 aswell!!!

THIS IS THE FUNNIEST REPORT EVER !!! I loved reading it - we are still away having left vegas a week ago - I want to go back right now and do it all again.

My first two trips to Vegas were with my other half, however she has okayed it for me to go with the boys in April. Cant wait!!!

Great report matey. Comedy + Honest stuff about you drinking white russians then getting burnt at blackjack and craps.

Id like to think when we go out, well have like 4 nights of poker (and every day) of course with just a few drinks, and 2 nights out, so we wont have to play and get burnt when were wasted.

The white russians and Craps sounded hilarious.

After reading back i realised i sound like a degenerate gambler. When normally i don't risk to much on the old table games.

So after thoughts about the poker rooms out there

Montecarlo: 1-2nl the average player is a tourist who plays a home game is passive and always thinks your big raise=nuts

MGM: 1-2nl weak passive game 2-5nl tight rocks and local grinders(normally dealers)

Alladins: 1-2nl same as Montecarlo if not even more passive

Ceasars: 1-2nl very aggressive game younger crowd but they seem to crap there self to a re-raise. 2-5nl aggressive again with locals but they could not get to grips with me in ultra aggressive mode i got a guy to fold kk preflop there was a raise he re-raised and i went Allin over the top he folded informing me i had AA. i showed him 72os after that he lost 2000 in no time what so ever.

Venetian: 1-2nl seemed to be a few players who thought they knew what they were doing but they were just callin stations but i noticed a few rocks at each table grinding it out. 2-5nl now this was just full of your local grinders.

Bellagio: now its hard to comment on this has it was full players for the wpt so the standard was better then else where but this might only be cos of the wpt. 5-10nl very hard game could not really push around the play was solid aggressive but once i settled(IE white Russians) i done OK held my own.

So it seemed that the games were soft and very ABC poker played by the locals so it became easy to run over. The games at Venetian and Bellagio were harder to beat.
